The word is that Lisa was forced to support Kasim because they struck a deal that Kasim would pay off her campaign debts for her endorsement. Typical crooked politics. Kasim is as corrupt as they come. Neither is a good choice, but Mary is the lesser of the two evils.

Please, will someone tell me what Kasim Reed knows about crime. I be very suprised if he has ever set foot in a criminal courtroom and he probably doesn’t have a clue what the APD’s Red Dog Squad is.

Before it was torn down I’ll bet he never set foot in Perry Homes.

I’ll bet he won’t let us know his SAT and LSAT scores or how many times he had to take the Georgia Bar Exam.

@PoliticOracle – Either way the election turns out it will be a challenge. The City has some pretty big issues with Customer Service, Quality, Consistency and Transparency. The actions of APD, Watershed and some other departments have demonstrated time and time again that this City doesn’t work all that well for its Citizens. I don’t really fault Mary all that much considering even Mayor Franklin has issues getting the straight story from her departments. There are a lot of behind-the-scenes politics going on and it would be naive to even say that factions from the many developers and other older families in this City haven’t had a stranglehold on growth or prosperity for some time now. If I thought for a second that Reed could get passed the muck that is the Atlanta Political machine; he would have my vote. I don’t and he doesn’t. If he does win, I will support him, pray for him and hope for the best.
