In the race for Atlanta City Council president, Ceasar Mitchell and Clair Muller are neck-and-neck with almost 30 percent of precincts reporting.
Mitchell and Muller are vying for the seat vacated by Lisa Borders, who is currently running third in the race for mayor.
Mitchell is leading in the race for council president with 46 percent to 44 percent for Muller, Dave Walker is a distant third with about 10 percent.
In other council races, Michael Julian Bond is on pace to avoid a run-off for the Post 1 at-large seat. Bond has nearly 53 percent. In the Post 2 race, Aaron Watson and Amir Farokhi are going head to head and appear headed for a runoff as well. Watson is at 42.24 percent; Farokhi at 41.59 percent.
In Post 3, H. Lamar Willis, the incumbent, has 52 percent in a two-person race with Shelitha Robertson.

OH COMMON! I’ll eat my hat if a majority of voters are stupid enough to reelect “charity fraud” Willis to another term.

Sad… Re-electing someone that cannot handle their own finances, to have any say over the city’s.

Clair Muller and Kasim Reed would be a good match. Seasoned/comprehensive and future forward/youthful “experience” in legislating compared to Mitchell and Norwood’s crooked ways of being just plain ole customer svc repsresentatives. I am going with Reed and Muller!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Done deal, I like this pair definitely!!! I love it. New Atlanta!!!
