‘Health care reform a greater threat than terrorism’

Below is video from this morning’s session of the U.S. House, in which Virginia Foxx (R-N.C.) declares that health care reform poses a greater threat than anything the FBI, CIA or U.S. military is now confronting.

“I believe we have more to fear from the potential of that bill passing than we do from any terrorist right now, in any country,” she said.

Which means that, somewhere in the wilds of Pakistan, Osama bin Ladin is kicking himself for thinking so small. He should have become an AARP lobbyist.

In fairness, she was probably just quoting Palin’s twitter.

I hate to pilfer a line from South Park, but it’s just too appropriate here:

“THIS IS WHAT REPUBLICANS ACTUALLY BELIEVE.”

This woman has no idea what she is talking about. I bet she doesn’t even understand what the Exchange is all about. The reason you want to buy insurance through the Exchange as an individual is to cut your taxes on health insurance. Last I heard Republicans were in favor of paying fewer taxes. Obviously she didn’t read the bill – she only read the bullet points provided to her.

The terrorist threat is real…….Healthcare reform with the “Public Option” is worse……it’s coming from within to help destroy America. If it happens to pass the idiot test, the “Tea Party Movement” should converge on DC with millions to effectively shut down the “Evil Triumvirate”, Obama, Reid & Pelosi and promote change “we the people” can believe in.

dgroy, “We the People” cleaned house one year ago.

If you feel safe and warm in your pretend world great! The American people are not being fooled. Gallup just released a poll showing your little “teaparty” pals are dipping empty bags into cold water.

From Gallup.com, “A majority of Americans, 55%, have at least a fair amount of trust in President Barack Obama on healthcare reform, compared with 48% expressing trust in the Democrats in Congress and 37% trusting the Republicans in Congress.”

Imagine that. Americans prefer Obama, Pelosi and Reid to the Republican alternative, whatever that is.

All you folks that think another huge government program (Obamacare) is the answer better take your head out of the sand long enough to kiss this country good-bye. The spending that Obama and the Dems have inflicted upon this country will certainly ruin it faster and do more damage than any plan inacted by Osama Bin Laden. We have already been given some glimpses of what can happen …. Kalifornia and Mass are in the control of the Dems. They’ve done such a wonderfull job with those two states (sarcasm intended).

I’m sick and tired of so called Republicans whining about the direction of health care reform, but not offering anything in it’s place. Why didn’t they do something when they had the chance in the previous eight years? Whether you like him or not, at least now we have a president who actually wants to do the work; not just have a cushy job that pays well. To those who object to the health care bill: offer an alternate plan or SHUT UP. Leave the ignorant whining drivel to the cartoon blowhards that are presently polluting our airwaves.

MH, exactly. All the Repubs in this state put on such an innocent look on TV when they talk about being “really, really” concerned about the sick and uninsured. But they had eight long years to do something about it and never did. Apparently they prefer blowing %^$# up overseas to helping their own people.
