WOw. SOme of you can get quite vicious. Anyway, I lived in ATL for half my life. No longer there physically but my heart is. I love Georgia. I am an African-American who is also a proud Pan-Africanist. I am a registered Democrat but for the CIty Council race where I reside now (NC), I voted for the Black Republican newcomer as opposed to the incumbent Black Democrat who has been in the seat for over 20 years. Both are femalre. As a newcomer here, I voted against the status quo. When it’s time for change, it’s time for change. I was there when Maynard was Mayor, Andy and Bill Campbell. Voted for each one of them and worked for one of them (not Bill though LOL)…If I were there now, I would vote for Mary Norwood.

Your leaders have had their chance to bring Atlanta into the 21st century and failed completely. Time to shut up and let someone new fix YOUR problems, starting with crime. Blacks in Atlanta are as racist as any redneck ever was. I’ve been called a cracker AND been faulted in a car accident that clearly was not my fault! And now, they’re getting their panties in a wad because a white woman might be the next mayor.

Since when did the Dems of Ga.org decide to spend $$ on historically non-partisan mayoral race? Who is running the store over there? Bad strategy for the Dems…now I WILL vote for Norwood. She’s not running a nasty campaign…& she doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty.
