Mayor Franklin ought to know about incompetence. She is the epitome of it.

1. She couldn’t get rid of the potholes. We have moire now then when she came into office with the promise to fix them.

2. She certainly had no control over expenditures by the city.

3. She and DaCosta are about to make the sirport a subsidiary of Delta Airlines.

4. She took care of her cronies with a revised pension plan that Atlanta can’t come close to affording.

5. Her support of the real estate developers’ Beltline through school taxes rather than added city taxes shows who she is owned by.

I wonder who is going to give her a job post her mayor’s. Oh, but she will get a good pension!

Shirley Frankiln has a lot of nerve to have done such a rotten job,
she is no leader, that is for sure, and her latest rant against Norwood got me off the fence, Norwood will have my vote for sure, I am counting the days when Shirley packs up her office, Oh Happy Days !!!

Well isn’t this irony. The Atlanta MSA is 61% Black, so Norwood will need the Black vote to win the election and the runoff. Since she is up in the polls, clearly there are several Blacks who support her. So you white elitists can STFU. If you think this city is going to suddenly become safer because a White person is in power you’ve got your head in the sand. But perhaps you will have a bit of your sense of entitlement back? After all, only Whites are allowed to ruin lives and communities. Just ask the rest of the world. For the Blacks who think a person of color being in office is “right” just bc it’s Atlanta, get your head out of your asses and try to look beyond race for a change. Especially if you’re going to demand others do the same. It would be too much like right for any of you to research the candidates’ political history, grill them on it, then form your own opinions.

For the People who think that electing a white mayor things are gonna change, I think you better relocate. The reason why some of you are complaining is because you can’t do anybetter for you self so you wanna take out on the mayor because you feel stuck here in atlanta. All these Uncle Toms that are supporting norwood need to wake up and change over to Lisa or Kasim. Atlanta needs an African-American in charge, to represent the interests of the minorities, who will not be treated well with some rich white woman running things.

As a concern citizen of 30311, one who voted for a mayor that said she would make me proud, a mayor who tells the world Atlanta is a city to busy to hate has really disappointed me and the citizens that put her in office. The mayor is a bully; she is rude and disrespectful to the people of Atlanta. On this morning 11AliveNews a spokesperson said that the Mayor has not endorsed anyone but we know who she is not endorsing, however, if there is a run off, she may get involved. She done enough damage, I am not interested in more Franklinism, what about you? My mind is made up, I hope your is too!

Well, Norwood just got my vote. Shirley hiding city debt then just apppears, crime on the rise…..city only reports what they want, furloughing police and fire dept, city not running efficient……should i go on?

@southmetro I sm appalled at you. did you read my post with understanding. I wasn’t comparing Mary Norwood to Pres. Obama. Who cares about what college or degrees. Hell Bill Gates and a lot more millionaires and billionaries dropped out of college. I was comparing the logic people had about Pres. Obama being incompetence on policy and government.

Better yet how did millionaires/billionaires keep getting rich, (some do the ponzi scheme) but as Donald Trump stated once if he ever went broke again, he would surround himself with certain. Pres. Obama did and if Mary Norwood surround herself with competence people in certain areas, then the city of Atlanta can be turned around. Are you sure Shirley started the NPU’s, go do some research.

Did someone give you a chance to be a front desk supervisor rather than keep you in housekeeping knowing you had no experience at being a supervisor or working at the front desk?

What race was the beltline intended for. What has Shirley done for your neighborhood. And to be truthful Shirley is not in the race so who cares. Her leadership and the condition of the city speaks for her.

Like I said in my original post, Mary Norwood was a lone ranger. Shirley could not bully her or get her to stuff herself in Shirley’s back pocket.

Are you from Atlanta or a recent transient who is impressed by the big city lights. Do you know the history behind the Atl. airport and the corruption and the mess with the procurement (contracts) mess?

What other areas have Mary Norwood lacked in experience. I only listed Pres. Obama lacking foreign policy skills as an illustration. He definitely lacked in other areas. If you would calm down and read with understanding you would have noticed that it was only a illustration to get a point across.

Do you know the definition of “doctrinlly” really mean? Has all of the plans and ideas of Pres. Obama been solved or dealt with…of course not, it presented his ideas and he focused on the important issue to him first. Healthcare for all Americans.

Brand Atlanta, what? That crap went down the drain. The news worldwide have done a better job of branding Atlanta than your girlfriend Shirley. New branding Atlanta…..High Crime and the Murder Rate Leaves Many Worried.

International city, please just a city full of immigrants from other states. Atlanta is a long long way from being an International City, do you know the makeup of an international city?

Atlantic Station was whose vision? And why we got to always be fighting. Let’s learn to be civil and stop taking money under-the-table and try to have a professional, respectful conversation of meeeting. Stop the backbiting and call out wrong when it’s wrong.
