If only Norwood were a woman of color things would be okay. You can’t be a strong BLACK woman if you aren’t BLACK.

The reason the math doesn’t come out right on these numbers is that the media is excluding the other candidate so that they can get the election they want. Why won’t the AJC cover all the candidate? Why are they excluding the only candidate with the educational qualifications to be mayor? Why is the media afraid of Jesse Spikes?

Hey, Mike, re this and the Obama bashing:

You obviously consume all your news from Rush, Fox, et al. because anyone who mentions freedom as if it were disappearing since 1/20/09 obviously wasn’t paying attention during the Bush years. Your response is so typical of those who do get their news from these all too biased sources, simplistic rants which have no depth or logic or reasoning. Other commenters here have posted rationed and reasoned arguments specific to the Mayoral race. Seems to me you are the one deciding bsed on color and not on “content”.

Just to clarify my earlier post – leadership has nothing to do with skin color, but everything to do with setting the agenda, putting programs and management in place to address the specific items and then holding those responsible, managers and employees, that have been put in place to make things happen. That is where the city and leadership has failed – no follow through or accountability. Just a “good enough” attitude!
