Rasmussen: Huckabee and Romney best Palin

Rasmussen Reports is out with some polling that finds that – contrary to the high hopes of some Democrats and the publisher of a forthcoming memoir — Sarah Palin isn’t the darling of the GOP when it comes to prospective candidates for 2012:

Among likely Republican primary voters, Palin now trails former Arkansas governor-turned-Fox-TV-host Mike Huckabee by 20 points – 55% to 35%.

When her opponent is ex-Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, Palin loses by 15 – 52% to 37%….

Twenty-one percent (21%) of primary voters also say Palin is the GOP candidate they would least like to see win the party’s presidential nomination. Just nine percent (9%) say the same of Romney, and eight percent (8%) feel that way about Huckabee.

Romney’s remains apparently remains a hurdle for the 2008 presidential candidate:

Suggesting that Romney’s Mormon faith may still be a problem among some Christian conservatives, Palin leads him by 14 points – 52% to 38% – among GOP primary voters who describe themselves as Evangelical Christians. But Romney beats Palin by 26 points among other Protestants – 58% to 32% – and holds similar winning margins among Catholic voters and those of other faiths.

If Huck had won the republican nomination, we would not be discussing Obama now. Huck in 2008, Huck in 2012!

Great poll, not.

The nomination is Palin if she wants it. Consistency is the key here. While I like both Huckaee and Romney (actually voted for the Fair Tax during the primary) neither one of them have been consistent when it comes to conservatism. Both of them did what they had to do while they were governors, this lead to Romney-care up in Mass and a slew of tax increases in Ark. While they both campaign you get the same affect, as they go to each state and the audience changes their message changes. Palin becomes a little boring but she is consistent and that is what is going to win in 2012. Its time to have a politician that when they speak you believe what they say is what they mean. There is still plenty of room for Romney and Huckabee and what they bring to the table, it just isn’t going to be as President. But we need all the talent that is out there to fix the last 16 years and these 4 years of Obama.

These 3 have the same problems, in my mind at least, that they had last year.
Romney: RomneyCare and Mormon (I don’t have a major issue with it but a lot of folks do)

Huckabee: Social conservative liberal spender (pushes the Fairtax to help with his liberal spending but it’s not enough) and he’s a Baptist preacher.

Palin: percieved as being dumb. and I’m not sure that the US is ready to elect a woman president.

We need some new faces in the race. We need some new parties in the race too.

I agree with Huckabee on many issues but there are two areas that are a problem for me:
1- Huckabee is not a fiscal conservative. His projects involve printing money we don’t have. Same approach that isn’t working now.
2- Huckabee is a religious bigot. I will not attend a church that marginalizes certain other faiths. The pastors who do this might seem to have good intentions, but if you look at who they criticize it is always the faiths that send out missionaries. They talk about doctrine as if that’s their concern, but their real concern is hanging onto the flock and its generous contributions. If they were really worried about doctrine there are a lot of other churches they should be talking about. But why both bother, because those churches don’t send out missionaries to knock on any doors. Well, pastor Huckabee, good guy that he is, has spent plenty of time criticizing certain churches. Over and over during the campaign he reminded Evangelicals who they’re not supposed to like. And look where it got us. Once he and McCain teamed up to remove Romney they had nothing left to contribute, and no more victories to win.

American people need a experience leader,an economy expert leader, and a strong leader comes to lead this great country, the country need a smart leader comes to lead this great nation, the country don’t need a church leader at this time yet, look at democrats guy! they had a Catholic president, now they have a Muslim or no religion president, who care? educated please! no more fighting,no more defeat,no more loser! As a conservative, I will never vote for the religious bigot, Mike Huckabee.

Huckabee is not a conservative & his entire campaign last time around was about attacking Mormons, attacking the conservative Club for Growth & attacking anyone with wealth or aspirations for wealth. Huckabee is among the vilest creatures in all American politics.

He has always attacked conservatives and anybody who disagreed with him. As governor in Arkansas, he told people who did not support his tax increases that they were not “good Christian(s).” He called anybody who supported laws to ensure illegal aliens did not vote by requiring voter identification at polling places in Arkansas a “racist.” He fired the head of the State Troopers because he would not stop the investigation of Huckabee’s fat & sadistic son for the torture & murder of a stray dog. And Huckabee pardoned numerous convicted murderers & rapists just because they said these criminals had suddenly become “Christian.”

I would rather continue to suffer through a growing socialist threat under Obama than allow such a vile sub-human piece of scum like Huckabee get my vote. And I promise that I will make sure that other conservatives will feel the same way before I am done with them if Huckabee somehow slithers to winning the Republican nomination.

Mike Huckabee’s popularity continues to skyrocket, his hit TV show on Fox called “Huckabee” is rated #1 by Nielsen TV ratings. And Huckabee’s ABC radio address is broadcasted to more than 500 stations nationwide, it’s the fastest growing radio talk show for ABC in years. The great Ronald Reagan used the same strategy for his landslide Presidential comeback win in 1980.

Huckabee’s extensive network of fans throughout the country just surpassed the 400 county milestone which spans 50 states in America. His fan base just keeps on expanding 24/7.

Huckabee continues to win 2012 Presidential poll after poll.
1) Value Voter Summit he crushes the field.
2) AOL 2012 Presidential vote 200,000 votes, Huckabee wins.
3) Rasmussen 2012 Presidental Poll, Huckabee finishes on top.

That’s something new that I hadn’t heard of: the Huckabee Fan Club. A group of ignorant fans who have no idea about the history nor the politics of the religious bigot, Mike Huckabee.

I say that they are ignorant because I am giving Huckabee fans the benefit-of-the-doubt. If Club Up-Chuck-abee Fans had actually done any research on their candidate & really knew what their religious bigot candidate had stood for in the past & still supported him, then that would make them as bad as he is. So, ignorance is bliss.

to VFFS-last i checked, number of facebook friends did not count as a poll…at least not a scientific one.

to all saying that Huck is a religous bigot- you might want to back up your arguments…i see no evidence. and if you’re referring to religious sparring with Romney, the same thing could be said the other way around.

to everyone talking about tax increases-those were made with the approval of the Arkansas electorate. Huckabee had to work with a liberal legislature for all his tenure in office. and he made good use of the money, rebuilding infratstructure, promoting arts in schools. take a look at his results.

Huckabee is a common-sense leader who would stop the madness in Washington. He has my support.

It is sad that so called conservatives would turn on one of their own as several have in this blog. Huckabee isn’t perfect, I’m sure he would be the first to tell you that. No candidate is perfection, I think Huckabee is the best we have and would have and still could be a great president. I hope he decides to run again. Come on guys disagree in a “christian” manner. Remember, ye without sin should cast the first stone (insult).
