Judge tosses Obama ‘birther’ suit, gives lawyer a warning

From the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer:

U.S. District Court Judge Clay Land today tossed out a complaint by an Army captain fighting deployment to Iraq by questioning the legitimacy of President Barack Obama.

Land also put attorney Orly Taitz, who represents Capt. Connie Rhodes and is a leader in the national “birther” movement, on notice by stating that she could face sanctions if she ever files a similar “frivolous” lawsuit in his court.

I am glad this happened because the birther movement needs to stop. It undermines legit concerns about the direction Obama is taking this country.

Dollars to donuts says Orly Taitz is another of Netanyahu’s agents doing “follow-up” work to help keep sheltered those false Jews we deported in the Mossad dressed as “Palastinians” arrested on 9/11 in New Jersey videotaping the WTC crashes. They obviously helped Bush and Cheney commit 9/11 and the American People need justice for all of them, if we wish to remain free.

Too bad that judge can’t shut up all those other racist “birthers”. Pres. Carter has it 100% right – all this astroturf uprising of birthers, deathers, Tenthers, etc is nothing more than a racist minority raising hell because a black man was elected, by a large majority of voters, to be the president for all of the country, including them.

I love all the comments about racism. You libs are the racist , you think just because Obama has a darker skin tone than usual that he is black, i thought his mother is white , oh wait she is.
Your stereotypical comments about Obama show that you think Black people should be used just as tokens to advance your socialist agenda.

I don’t understand how a country of individuals that 60% of which classify themselves as conservative cannot protest the direction one of the most liberal presidents is taking us without it being racist. Politics have hit a new low.

Wow, nothing gets by you, jungle, but blame the media for calling President Obama African-American or “black”. Obama isn’t 100% African true, but according to the law made years and years ago, he had to be listed as “black” on his birth certificate. I think it had something to do with making sure that any person who had that awful “black blood” running thru their veins was a second class citizen.

It’s about time. Judge Clay Land, appointed by Pres. Bush, gave this the due consideration it needed and threw it out of court.

Weird: We saw is “Birth Certificate” according to Hawaii. That green paper is the legal proof of his birth in Hawaii. NOTE: Yes, foreigners can get certificates like that from Hawaii, but they list the location of birth as the foreign birth location, not somewhere in Hawaii.

RocktheJungle: Have you considered that his CoLB lists him as “Black”? It could have some bearing on this, as could the fact that, in many parts of the country, people with as little as 1/64th “Black Blood” were considered to be black, not white. 50% “Black Blood” was, no question, considered black.

Spoken like a true bigot making sweeping generalizations about a group of people. The rest of that comment is too idiotic to comment on.

Chuck Norris?

“I’m not very smart . . .”

Obviously.

“If you believe we should get rid of the constitution (sic) then we can all understand why you don’t care.”

Hiding behind the U.S. Constitution is pathetic and a ruse for your true motivation. I’ve seen a copy of the legal document that the Republican Governor of Hawaii and its HHS has certified as legal proof of the President’s natural born status.

“They obviously helped Bush and Cheney commit 9/11 . . .”

Truthers are as delusional and disturbed as birfoons.

Those policies are similar to many white Democrats and I differ with them and its okay. But if I differ with the President I on the same policies I am a racist because he is African-American. All one has to do is to read the rants & raves of a will jones to see how America has digressed. This nation USED to be great at one time, but will never be great again. Why? People like will jones and his diatribe. Had the useless one, currently called our president, wanted to resolve this issue, he would have merely presented his birth certificate. He obfuscates the issue by refusing to do so, in fear that in would, in fact, lend credence to those who protest. So, the birthers continue and nothing is solve, including the REAL problems of America. Same as it ever was.

Coastal Cavalier: I must state that I am unfamiliar with any of your previous posts. Discussion of our views is not racist depending on how each view is communicated. All too often we lump people together , which is wrong. But I think the lack of understanding, research, and listening to others’ views clouds the way for the common ground to be realized and the differences to be discussed intelligently. While many arguements become emotional, emotions need to be checked at the door, along with the misinformation, which seems worse from the conservative side now. If we can get past the name calling, and blantant lies, and accept reality (which may be cloudy for some), then maybe we can have meaningful discussions about our future and what we want for OUR country. Hopefully you do not take exception with my statement.

It is okay to disagree with the President, and indeed any President, based on facts and not lies. How would characterize calling the President Hitler, socialist, communist,Nazi, “we want our country” back, “the real american people”, Obama death panel etc. The President of the United States is not only the head of government, he is also the head of state as such should be respected. Would call the conduct of Rep Joe Wilson respectful? or would you call the rantings on the Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hanity respectful? I wonder why these people were not disrepectful to Bush or any other white president. My point is you can disagree with Obama without trying to deligitimize him, that somehow he is not “fit” to be president.

I’m curious about what sort of ‘bribe and a threat’ was made to Clay Land, in order to have this suit quashed.

There is nothing ‘racist’ about this. If Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice, or Jessie Jackson were in the Oval Office, none of this would be an issue. Conversely, if it were John McCain, it might.

For an exemplar of ‘racism’, why not have a look at some of Van Jones’ statements:

I just don’t understand why Obama has spent over $1 million wiping out all paper trails concerning his birth and his travels as a youngster. He could put an end to all of this by just releasing the “official certified” copy of his birth certificate (not the live birth record he previously released). Of course that certified copy will show his race to be white, since babies are listed as having the race of their mother… and that would be devastating to Obama and his supporters.

This judge is a “JackAss”….
He can not stop any person in this country from questioning Mr. Obama’s qualification(s) as this country’s President. The U.S Constitution is there for our legal standings and ALL APPOINTED JUDGES, CONGRESMEN AND EVEN TO OUR PRESIDENT HAVE BEEN SWORN TO UPHOLD, HONOR AND PROTECT IT. THEREFOR THIS JUDGE IS A “JACKASS”… He too is bound by this document and he his self could face charges of not properly executing his job or upholding it and the rights given to Americans by said document. This will only bring more to question(s) the validity of Mr. Obama’s of not having the necessary qualification of being seated as our Commander and Chief.

There is a good reason that liberals don’t want to see the President’s birth certificate. As long as it stays locked up in some state hospital, then the lunatics on the right will keep on bringing this up. Liberals secretly love the birthers because they make conservatives look like raging idiots. Every moment used to discuss this non-issue is a moment lost. Meaningful conservative ideas are being pushed aside for this nonsense. Keep this up and the 23 percent of Americans who identify as Republicans will shrink even further.

Road Scholar..I do not take exception to what you say. I have come to the conclusion long ago that what we have in Washington is a political tit for tat and I am afraid there is no way to stop it. Just a few examples of what I mean..The Democrats went after Nixon so the GOP goes after the first Democrat they can in Clinton and it goes one step further…Some Democrats spend most of GWB’s two terms doing everything in their power to undermine him and dis-respect him now some Republicans are using many of the same arguments the Dems used against Bush against Obama (questioning legitimacy of his election, with us or against us, must respect the office of president regardless of who is in it). When both parties can declare an end to this tit for tat and agree to disagree on some issues but ultimately working for the good of the country and not their own little baliwick then we will return to the greatness that was and can be America.
