Atlanta's screwed up problems happened on her watch as Council President. She contributed to the financial mess with the huge lack of fiscal discipline she showed in Council. Additionally, why would anybody want some lady who says she'll run the city like a business when two of the major businesses she ran, she ran into bankruptcy??!!!!

Don't be blind! A vote for Lisa is like voting for the fox to guard the chicken coop.

She ended the furloughs??!!! That is a hilarious LIE. She CAUSED the furloughs. Under her leadership the Council forced the Administration to make the 14.6 million in cuts in spite of the dire consequences of losing cops on the streets and the rise in crime.. At the same time, she planned to increase Council's spending budget up to 12 million. Then after the spike in crime, she flip-flopped, realizing the error and decided to raise taxes (even higher than the initial proposal she rejected.)

Lisa is a Liar:

Don't believe me? Read the AJC report when it happened back in 2008: “Council Reject Property Tax Hike; Mayor Franklin Calls Order to Cut Nearly $14.6 Million Irresponsible and at Expense of Workers, Public Safety” 6/28/2008, Atlanta Journal Constitution

Ahhhh...the whiff of Atlanta politics.....

Competes with the sewer.

Throwing sexual innuendos at Reed and Borders is cheap....and calling Mary Norwood a white bitch is just the usual racism we have come to expect here.

Whatever Atlanta gets, it deserves because the people here have a lot to answer for: the ignorance, racism on BOTH sides, the pathetic excuses for political discussion.

Enough. Atlanta is bleeding out. Economically and culturally. The tension in this city could be cut with a knife. Who will suffer? Those who need the help the most, the poor and disadvantaged.

I can laugh at the comments about a 'white' mayor, ie. Mary Norwood. She's such a liberal you can bet that Black people will have more than an ear in City Hall. She will bend over backwards to attend to black concerns and issues, but the real issue is this: Can she run a city that has such divisions?

I don't know, but I do know that the racism of Blacks so far on a 'white' candidate....and this one just happens to be a white woman...shows a deeper misogyny.

Incredible.

Yes, that ad, indeed, was poorly produced. I produce TV material on a regular basis and this spot looks like it was edited on a laptop in a basement somewhere. I know I look at these things closer than most but the way I see it, if your TV spots are cheap looking, so is your campaign. The lack of "real" footage says to me that either they have no money, or the company that produced it is still in high school and lack professional cameras. (By the way, what's up with the voice over? Sounds like a James Earl Jones wannabee.) Man, we are a tough crowd here!

Special people you all are. The city is going down the tubes, and this is the highest level of discourse we can have as citizens. Now I see why those in the suburbs look down on Atl. You give them reason to, you paid staffers.

Bet: Borders is about to do an internal poll and is buying SMALL tv buy to boost her numbers a couple points right before she does the poll. Notice that Borders is the ONLY candidate who hasn't released an internal poll (even though her disclosure shows she paid for several)....Why is that? Hmmmm.......
