maybe when God was personally speaking with Sanford and Palin (as both have reported he does), the signals got crossed and Sanford was supposed to resign while Palin kept her office. Its strange that God would not have a better plan, but mysterious ways and all that.

I agree he should stick it out. The Republican governors already have one quitter in Sarah Palin, they do not need another.
