S.C. lieutenant governor will ask Sanford to resign

This just posted by The State newspaper in Columbia:

Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer plans to call on embattled Gov. Mark Sanford to step down during a noon news conference today. Bauer will also renew his pledge to bow out of the 2010 gubernatorial race should Sanford resign within a month or so….

Bauer is the first constitutional officer to join a growing chorus of lawmakers pushing for Sanford to resign, including a majority of Republican state senators.

Forgt about Sanford, How about Obama, Pelosi and Reid? South Carolina is just a wiff in a windstorm. The three Washington liberals are commiting fininacial adultry. Maybe they should resign too.

Given the commentary from the site that was posted in the original blog post, I don’t think people living in South Carolina trust Bauer. From the articles in the past about him and the public sentiment, sounds like these people think he will still run anyway regardless if Sanford resigns or not. As a resident of Georgia, I have no stake in S.C.’s politics… that’s their business. They’ll need to figure it out.

Ted Kennedy should have resigned after he killed that woman in Chappaquidick 40 years ago. It is sickening how the liberals are hailing him as a hero. Utterly disgusting.

David: Clinton didn’t wear his religion out front, and didn’t criticize others for being unfaithful, like Sanford did. Oh, and by the way, Sen Ensign did the same thing (R from Utah), and then bribed the family which he had the affair with. Any double standard here?

Hoops: How about Ollie North, Ensign, Sanford, etc. Just as disgusting, but I don’t see you condemning them!I guess we will never know what happened that rainy night in Mass.. Were you in the car also?

Richard Nixon was a felon in a criminal conspiracy at the highest level of government. He resigned, died a while back and still he has his Repuke supporters. These Repukes just love themselves some Bill Clinton.
