Stephens the first to take water decision to video

Former Senate majority leader Bill Stephens, now in the 9th District congressional race, has become the first candidate in the state, we think, to go to video with the new, startling turn in the water wars.

A federal judge ruled last week that Georgia has no legal right to use the water behind Buford Dam for drinking purposes. Navigation, yes. Gargling, no.

See the YouTube clip here:

Stephens wasn’t the strongest Republican candidate when it came to last month’s financial disclosures, so it’s not clear how much airtime the above will get.

Stephens should give up any thoughts of running for another political office after Handel beat him. If he can get beat by a moderate light weight like Handel – he should be embarrassed.

Gena (with an e not an i) and I first thought this rather funny/silly but I have had several calls thinking it actually was me doing this posting, so to make clear it IS NOT. I would like to give Bill credit for the video, I appreciate the concern and significance he is showing for this most critical issue – it is after all the water I drink every day, for the people in my district that live in Hall and Forsyth it is real – many are scared of the possibilities we now face.

However, I still think that Bill Stephens has a lot more in common with John Kerry (whom I compared him to in my recent press release) that the people of the 9th District (where he doesn’t live).

Bill may be right on this issue, but he’ll probably pull a John Kerry Flip-Flop tomorrow. We need a true conservative like me, not a liberal flip-flopper like Bill Stephens.

Mike and Gena, instead of trying to get people’s comment’s deleted, you should be addressing the questions of why you are both hired lobbyists. Mike, you call yourself a fiscal conservative, yet are paid to get money from Obama’s bailouts for the states. How do you justify this behavior to the voters?

Here are the links…

I suspect this campaign is only about finding a way to make more money peddling influence and trading favors for your buddies and lovers.

William Wallace, Thank you for your honesty and bravery that so many are afraid to come forward and say, perhaps you will be an example and more can do the same now. Does he really stand for what he says he does? Is he a man of integrity, honesty, trustworthiness, someone the 9th District Voters want standing up for them or is he just in it for him and Gena (with an e not and i)? By the way Mike, do you really live in the 9th yourself? I wouldn’t be throwing stones if you live in your own glass house.
