If all goes as John Oxendine plans, the Governor’s Mansion will be strewn with pull toys.
At 7:43 a.m. today, Ivy Oxendine delivered an 8 pound, 12 ounce baby boy. Mother and Baby Jake are doing fine.
“This is a great day in the Oxendine household,” the Republican candidate for governor said in a release issued by the campaign — the candidate was still at the hospital, of course.
This Oxendine kid No. 4. There’s also J.W., 17; Philip, 12; and Caroline, 10.

The American Creed – the three Mottoes on the Great Seal – is to you, name-thief papist, “some ill translated latin nonsense?” Figures.
Be accursed.
And all blessings to the newborn above. G-d willing his father will soon find honest employment away from the State of Georgia’s pay window.
