Crashing a Johnny Isakson fund-raiser

A representative of a certain Democratic-oriented news web site made an attempt to attend, in unauthorized fashion, a fund-raiser for U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson up in D.C.

The reporter didn’t get very far, but here’s the opening scene:

Just for fun, the Huffington Post decided Tuesday night to crash a dinner party for Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.). It was one of many fundraisers happening every day for different politicians around town. The event’s location was listed on the Sunlight Foundation’s website, www.politicalpartytime.org, as a townhouse just a few blocks from the U.S. Capitol.

The three-story red brick house, appraised at over $1.3 million, is owned by Mark Curry, according to the D.C. Office of Tax and Revenue. Curry is chairman of the board of the Online Lenders Alliance, a trade group for Internet payday lenders. The Sunlight Foundation calls this building the “OLA Townhouse.”

Senator Johnny doesn’t want us to know who owns him. That’s completely understandable!!! By the way, his people are always polite and eloquent when they explain to me that the Senator does not give a flying flip what *I* (a non-writer of big campaign donations) think. And I appreciate that.

How vulgar. How typical. We vote them into office and they immediately go to work for the corporations who buy their votes. We need to run this guy out of office in the next election. If for no other reason than to screw with the corporations who have paid all that money to buy him. That would be fun.

Must be a slow day when you’re actually taking anything from that hateful website. Huffpo is a bunch of miserable losers who are perpetually unhappy.

joe, you’re entitled to your opinion of the “miserable losers” at Huffpo; however, that doesn’t change the fact that our Senators don’t actually work for the people they collect a paycheck and lifetime health benefits to represent. Just sayin’.

So I am at the pool on the 4th at this great pool party hanging out with a cool young lady and she mentions politics and I say – well I am a Republican, she just sneared and said – “Republican, that’s nothing but rich white guys that don’t care about anyone.” I use that note as a preface for some of the things I see written here.

Many of the notes are written like some people in this blog are parrots. They just repeat standard lines of information they hear on TV or wherever and throw them around without any real contemplation as to whether they make sense or are applicable to the topic.

As a suggestion, before you shoot from the hip, you should find out what it took to be invited to this event and then make comments.

Obama lets anyone from Foxnews and RedState and The Weekly Standard and the National Review and all media into everyone of his fundraisers. What? You mean he doesn’t? You mean that all politicians have closed fundraisers? You mean that most conservatives have enough class to not crash invite only events? Are you serious? What? The HuffingtonPost is a group of lib-hack-malcontents? Is Jumbo Galloway really just another media wh@re? Jumbo is doing well with his battle with Anorexia, you’re right!

Everyone needs to quit! We say all this about our politicians every year and some how they get re-elected. We do not contribute to campaigns like we should as ordinary people. We get what we deserve because politicians seek this money because they know we want give $100 dollars. So as much as I like to beat up on politicians it is time that we beat up on feckless voters and the millions that don’t vote. We need to look at ourselves and figure out how we can make our democracy stronger.

A rose is a rose is rose; likewise, a politician is a politician is a politician. Sure it is easy to say as voters we need to vote these folks out . . but let’s face it, the choices we have come election time is almost how do you want it . . . a crooked, no good, long-time good ol’boy or a wanta-be crooked, no good, short-time good ol’boy. We vote one out and another replaces that one. It is a no-win situation. The pool we have to choose from is filled with crude. But then when you think about it . . . our society has turned into a population of fraud, robbery, criminals, etc. Sorry to be a voice of gloom and doom but facts are facts.

Paul, do you mind telling us what you meant. And while you are at it, you might want to tell us whose words you will be reciting (as if it will not be obvious). Then tell us why you believe them over people (er idiots) who have different view from them. Warning, this will hard to do without sounding like you are rationalizing.

Paul, you’re missing the point, I believe. It’s not that they didn’t let Huffpo peeps in, (who cares? I wouldn’t let them into my soirees either) it’s that the Online Lenders Alliance, a trade group for Internet payday lenders (Georgia being one of the friendliest states in the nation to predatory lenders) are buying your Senator. More to the point: Ask not for whom your Senator works; it isn’t you.

Another holier than though GOP member. most government people get paid under the table. They don’t care about us the taxpayers!!! the lobbyists pay them off. They get health benefits, good salary, 401 k, more holidays and time off than any of us, fly all over the world on our tax dollars, etc. when is the madness going to end. They want to tax our health benefits, making sure theirs is not taxed. What the hell is this???? Vote the sorry bums out. Johnny boy is a joke along with Saxby……and all the others. It is time for term limits for everyone. All government workers get across the board pay raises, no questions asked about their job performances. Teachers get a raise every year, even in retirement. They only work 190 days a year. 180 with the children??? What a job. Ask what your district pays an assistant principal. About $80,000 a year. Does the average American get all these perks???No way…We just pay for it. Wake up and don’t believe the BS

If we simply make it a felony to give or receive a “campaign contribution” politics will be “de-linked” from money and honest elections shall be won by The People’s candidates who can prove their integrity and best convey their support for the People’s sovereignty.

“Word-of-mouth.” The internet as “townhall meeting. All we need is open honest conversation to identify the good for election, and to know the evil for banishment.

The first measure excludes from consideration, other than penal, any pretender who refuses to acknowledge where we are today as a country: Bush and Cheney committed 9/11; Bush’s father killed John and Martin; and Bush’s grandfather funded Hitler on behalf of Vatican banker Rockefeller (for whom Bushes have been fronting since Big Oil was built on unredressed murder and arson) and the Roman Anti-Christ’s “Fifth Column.”

Righteous governance is a function of adherence to Truth and Justice.

Obama made brilliant allusion to the truth in “Audacity of Hope.” Allusion is enough considering the guns which silenced John, Martin, and John Jr. are yet wielded by Satan’s minions of the still unpunished “Fifth Column” of Rome…which we must expropriate and extirpate to restore Righteousness in America.

Reinstate constitutional money as John Kennedy’s Exec Order 11,110 did before Nixon and Bush1 murdered him to reinstate the Vatican’s banksters of the Fed.

Re-establish our national sovereignty by addressing the organized invasion for conquest now being effected by the Roman Catholic Church’s published stratagem: “The National Pastoral Plan for Hispanic Ministry.” Make our borders true.

Hang Bush and Cheney. Expropriate the treasonous sectarian faction which brought them illegally to power.

All is revealed. Nothing is secret. The scandal and perversion attached to the Gay Old Perverts, and the Mafia and papal connections of the false Democrats who enabled Bush to stay in office though all of Capitol Hill saw “the white jumbo jet’s lumbering turn directly over the Capitol” as the shock-wave arrived from the missile strike at the Pentagon, can be seen by every willing eye and by every true American Patriot.

The Beast won’t be casting itself into “the Pit.” We must only allow in public holy office those whose integrity and righteousness has been tested and proven.

Max Cleland proved his integrity and worthiness as a Georgian when he publicly quit the 9/11 Commission cover-up of Bush’s and Cheney’s treason. All Georgians can be proud of him, just as we can be proud of another genuine American Hero from Georgia, Hugh Thompson, who single-handedly stopped the MyLai Massacre.

Let us elevate those worthy of our esteem, not the bottom-feeding sell-outs to fascist plutocracy who are nothing but part of the obvious abomination that produced the Bushes, Rockefellers, and the Roman Anti-Christ of which Our Founder warned.

The blood of John, Martin, and our dead of Vietnam, Iraq, and 9/11 is on their hands.

Let us wash our hands of them, and for their souls’ sake, bring them to justice as One Nation, under G-d.

Any seeking elective office who isn’t talking about the problems all the People see, is fronting for those who wish to continue “riding us booted and spurred” believing it is their divine right.

Death for Treason…after that everything will get a whole lot better.

Cleland for Governor
“Angry Taxpayer” for Mayor of Atlanta

Yeah, but Johnny having a fundraiser is far worse than the systematic democrat led destruction of the housing sector. I am boiling over with righteous indignation!

Leave it to Huffington Post to do what the AJC WON’T do: Agressive coverage of our elected officials in Washington.
How can the voters make informed choices without knowing what the incumbents are up to. Isakson has been a wash-out anyway. You might know he would be a redneck geisha in bed with the special interests.

Matilda, don’t act shocked that a politician is standing with their hand out. This is not only happening in Washington. It is very expensive to run campaigns for any office. If you want to do something to stop it, I suggest you try running for his office. I am sure that the good voters like yourself that don’t write checks will be glad to chip in and help. What about Obama? He takes money from the unions and guess who is getting the sweet deals in Washington now. Organizations that have long been linked to organized crime. If you are a Liberal, don’t go and develop a consience now.

Really?, thanks for the advice, but I actually DO participate as a volunteer for cash-strapped campaigns NOT funded by special interests. Mostly I volunteer at the local and state level, and I have yet to work a campaign that won. Why do I do it? Because (a) it’s not democracy (in any form) without choice, and (b) only by running against the incumbent or incumbent party can you get the issues out there for dicussion. You’re right, it IS up to us, so I encourage you to join in too. BTW, I didn’t work Obama’s campaign, as they did not need my help.

FYI. It is not a democracy. We live in a Republic, because our Framers knew the dangers of a democracy. I am glag that you took part in the process. I do agree that the special interest groups have too much pull in our society. The truth is that they have the same rights as the rest of us.

Really?, I can’t dispute what you say. The State of California is a good example of what what happens when the dumbed-down masses get too much democracy. They make a referendum out of every half-baked thing for which they can get enough riled-up signatures, and nobody has the power to be the real grown-up and say, “BIG PICTURE, PEOPLE!” or “Do the math!”

Our only hope (IMO)is to keep participating and demanding accountability from our elected officials — lots of sunshine!! — of both parties.

Public Corporation was a legal fiction implemented to protect enterprises specifically doing work for the Public. That “thin wedge” has been driven home into fascist plutocracy ruling over the People: America’s sovereign by Our Creation.

Money must be removed from politics so that only “in kind” contributions by volunteers shall vie for The Electorate’s votes. Receipt or gift of money to or by any public official or candidate for holy public office must be deemed a felony.

Other than President Obama, yet swamped by Bush’s and the Roman Anti-Christ’s treason and abomination, America has the “best government money can buy.” This reality must be addressed by the People’s outrage.

Politicians like Isakson and his ilk must be removed from office as the traitors against the People that they are.

“Money must be removed from politics so that only “in kind” contributions by volunteers shall vie for The Electorate’s votes. Receipt or gift of money to or by any public official or candidate for holy public office must be deemed a felony.” – are you nuts? That will NEVER happen.

“Other than President Obama, yet swamped by Bush’s and the Roman Anti-Christ’s treason and abomination, America has the “best government money can buy.” This reality must be addressed by the People’s outrage.”

Obama will be the total scourge of this country. Obama has proven he has no skills, little intelligence, and no concern for America. All obama followers need to be extradited from this nation and their citizenship remove.

Does this mean that Isakson is rubbing elbows with the same people who prey upon our soldiers with usury interest rates?

Let’s follow the money.

The kid who is on his 2nd or 3rd deployment in Iraq makes an all too common financial mistake of over extending his finances. He then sends his wife to a pay-day lender to get a loan. The payday lender charges them an extreme interest rate. Some of the profits go to pay for Johnny Isakson’s re-election.

Bravo Johnny.

Now lets see if Jim and the AJC will conduct reviews of the fundraisers for the 6 Georgia Congressmen with a (D) next to their name or if they continue to show their bias and only conduct reviews of Saxby’s, Johnny’s, and the 7 congressmen with a (R) next to their name. Me personally? I am not holding my breath on that one.
