A campaign star is born. Really.
Baby Jake Oxendine was only a few hours old Wednesday when he starred in his first YouTube clip — a favor to his old man, who’s running for governor.
Jake arrived at Northside Hospital at 7:43 a.m. He weighed in at 8 pounds, 12 ounces.
This was just posted by the Republican campaign of John Oxendine:
Says Oxendine, the elder:
“He’s just a few hours old. His mother is doing very well. As you can see, Jake is sleeping. We hope he continues to do this for the next year or two….
“When I see this and my other three kids, it reminds me of why it’s important that I run for governor, and why it’s important that we transform government.”
Jake is Oxendine kid No. 4. There’s also J.W., 17; Philip, 12; and Caroline, 10.

That’s great oxendine, turn the birth of your son into a political pitch. Truthfully, I hope you are run out of the state. You are pathetic, at best. Anyone who would do this should NEVER be in public office.

That’s fantastic! But he should have capitalized on the heels of the 4th and filed the other kids in wearing red, white and blue and Uncle Sam hats as they launch Roman candles out the window over mom and baby brother…I have a feeling he considered it, but they wouldn’t cooperate. Oxendine in 2010! If he can’t sell you out, nobody can!
