If Adelman becomes an ambassador, there will be a long line of folks aiming for this seat. From one side of that district to the other, there are a number of strong leaders who have put in years of work in their community. If Stephanie Benfield decides to go for the seat, it is (or should be) hers. She has worked hard and is doing great work in the House, but would be a strong addition to the Senate.

Well, if many of us spent our time, while collecting a fine pension (still unearned) lobbying for a noble peace prize, like Jimmy, we wouldn’t have time to fill the burger bags at Krystals, now would we?

Matilda, honey. Betty B shares your pain. Unfortunately, children of this state share the pain of 8 years of Repugnican mismanagement, educators who’d rather have a facelist with public funds than lift the profile of students, a Gubnor who would rather pander to the sheet-waring, confederate flag-waving good ole boys who have no more knowledge of history than the kids are getting. It is easy to point fingers and snub noses at a young man who has taken a personal responsibility for helping people who are having a hard time.

I wonder how many of Jimmhy’s critics have ever been considered for a Nobel Prize or how many of them have written a book or even read one? A bunch of ole boys scratchin their hairy beer bellies critcising their betters is really pathetic.

We’re lucky to have a young man who evidently learned something of Jimmy’s compassion coming along.

If Jason Carter is anything like our very worst President (and even worst exPresident) Jimmy Carter we sure as hail don’t need him in Georgia or US politics. With such “gifts to the US and the world” as Jimmy Carter’s “Community Reinvestment Act”, his over throwing of the Shah of Iran, his hamstringing of the CIA and NSA degrading our nationsecurity, with his help to put in place the new dictator of Venzuela, his negotiations with North Korea, just a few of examples – the USA and the world don’t need another like him!

Jason is well-known and well-respected among Democrats in Georgia. I can’t think of a better person to represent fair-minded, progressive Georgians who view democracy as the government for ALL persons.
