AU: Atlanta judge draws private reprimand for DUI

Atlanta Unfiltered posted this today:

Atlanta Municipal Judge Andrew Mickle drew a private reprimand from the state Judicial Qualifications Commission for a March 2008 DUI arrest. The terms of the punishment are sealed.

Mickle refused to take a breath or blood test at the scene of his arrest, which could have cost him his driver’s license for a year or more under Georgia law. But the arresting officer did not turn in paperwork noting the refusal, so Mickle kept his license…

Here’s the original AJC story from July 2008.

Hmmm…well all being equal there have been a few times I was pulled over, was well above the legal limit and was given a break!!

So no protests or sour grapes here.

Turd F, we understand – you’re an alcoholic. Drunks rarely protest until caught. The judge should have went to jail & been forced to go through the same process as anyone else.

Turd F, please move. China is waiting.

All pigs are equal, but some pigs are more equal than others.

“All pigs are equal, but some pigs are more equal than others”

Really? Judges are nothing more than shyster attorneys in black robes. They are the same crap that found loopholes for REAL criminals to keep them out, yet they get on the bench and pretend to extend some moral BS for the sake of the community, you know, ‘justice & fairness’, which only exists if you have the $$$ to grease a bunch of hands. I say the judge should be thrown in jail & should be subject to 10 times the penalty of any ‘ordinary’ citizen. After all, the sob works for us, right?

No turd, I want him in jail, a long time. I’m not close to a bleeding heart. Hell, YOU belong in jail merely for saying ‘give the judge a break’. Fine, only 10 years instead of 20.

Now Turd if the shoe was on the other foot, that judge would give you a DUI charge in a new york second and not even blink twice about it. Eye for a Eye, if a cop or judge does the crime they should have to have the same punishment as us. Put his azz under the jail and take his judges duties away. Someone that has a drinking problem should not be judging peoples lives.

The article describes the proceedings to determine if he is still qualified to be a judge (JQC hearing), not the DUI charges themselves. Those are still pending as far as I can tell. There is no indication that he has been given a break regarding so far as the actual DUI charge is concerned. Save the griping until after we see what happens to his charges.
