South Carolina’s Supreme Court puts thousands of home foreclosures on ice

The Associated Press has moved this:

COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina’s highest court on Tuesday temporarily stopped thousands of pending foreclosure sales in the state to give homeowners more time to take advantage of a new federal program to help them refinance mortgages.

The injunction – which mortgage experts said appeared to be the nation’s first court-ordered stop for an entire state – prevents judges in South Carolina from finalizing foreclosure sales on properties guaranteed by Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae or any other mortgage company that has signed on to a federal assistance program.

RealtyTrac Inc., a foreclosure listing firm, says the ruling could affect 5,000 South Carolina homes facing foreclosure.

Somewhere in Georgia, a lightbulb just appeared over the head of a civil litigator.

Yeah lets involve the courts, they already only give 5 years for the average manslaughter conviction.
So why make people own up the a contract they signed?
Hell just give em the dang house. They will lose it just like the dumb Georgia family from the Extreme Makeover
home give away show. The creme always rises and the bottom feeders just go back to the bottom of the pond.

Isn’t it “funny” how the Mammon-worshipping Simon Legree’s are the same one’s who don’t want to bother reading “The New Pearl Harbor’s” proof that their fellow-traveling draft-dodgers Bush and Cheney committed 9/11? No coincidence so many of them support the Roman Anti-Christ’s Fifth Column and turn out to be pederasts, adulterers, lying theives and murderous traitors fully in keeping with the Babylonian pedophile priesthood they follow. So too, as night follows day, the same hypocrites endorse their own soft-handed profitiablity enhanced by shipping our jobs and factories to authoritarian countries where the “lowly” worker hasn’t the urge to walk on his or her hind legs like the ungrateful American who still thinks the American Dream is meant for any but the corrupt rich with the “Best Government Money Can Buy.”
