As I said, I will not go there, but for all of us vets who really know what happened to Cleland…how it happened, when it happened, well…yes, it was a terrible thing, but…A Silver Star? A Purple Heart, yes. But, a Silver Star? My brother, a year younger than me, an “ROTC” Airborne Ranger, an Infantry Captain, and in country far longer than Cleland, served heroically, but did not get a Silver Star. My mother, instead, got a Gold Star. Like I said, Will, don’t go there with Cleland; I am waiting in the wings with a personal agenda.

Bush took an oath to the State of Texas after he was cheated into their AFNG’s Champagne Flight to dodge Vietnam.
