Ever since it came out that 22 of Georgia’s 236 lawmakers had missed filing deadlines on their state income tax, TV and print reporters with several outlets have been polling those who represent us. They ask the simple question: Are you current?
Several lawmakers have confessed already. The Macon Telegraph has found one more:
The sagging economy led state Rep. Willie Talton to get behind by more than $30,000 on his 2008 property taxes, the Warner Robins Republican said this week.
Talton, a retired chief deputy from the Houston County Sheriff’s Office, owes the money on rental properties in Houston County. He said he plans to pay his bills after the state Legislature wraps up next month, getting current “hopefully” by July 1.
“I know I owe it, and I’m going to pay it,” Talton said. “Things are tough. And, you know, (tenants) move out and in and they tear up stuff.”

Homes come with a civic duty to pay for the maintenance costs (which rival the mortgage.)
Business Ethics is not so much pay yourself first as it is pay your taxes first, (a civic duty too).

CNN just reported that the piece of space-debris that nearly took out the space station was identified by NASA as an Iraqi Shoe. That Iraqi should get three years for this.

But I kid NASA. Have you seen the new shuttle? It’s a capsule! No wings or tail! Can you imagine a space ship doesn’t look anything like an airplane whatsoever?
NASA is going with all the recommendations I made to them in the wake of the last Shuttle Disaster: Dont use three rockets when one will do. Is it a space ship or a plane or a space station. All three are completely different, and have different visions directing solutions. Why did they abandon the tried-and-true one rocket concept of the Apollo Program? Not all this assemblage nonsense. Why build three launch rockets and then just strap them together? and The Ice! NASA should never launch from October to March. Ice can bring the space shuttle down. Shame on them for that launch. And it’s an embarrassment that the shuttle was allowed to get to the design stage. All those exotic angles, and easily-foiled tiles and landing gear and wheel wells. Who, but a madman would assemble a bomb like that? Think about it. This was pure Flash Gordon, where the space ships look like jets and mimic aerodynamic control.
Anyway, they listened to me, and abandoned all those ridiculous proposals for other evolutions of winged space craft. It’s every American’s duty to speak up when a travesty is perpetuated on an entire country. But that space shuttle is a monument to stupidity. So what if you could land the shuttle. So what. Let the Navy have some fun. It’s great for moral.
When we examine meteorites that have survived entry into our atmosphere, we see shapes like space capsuls. They all look like Apollo Capsules (sort of). That’s the shape a space ship should be. A space ship should be designed for the return home and the launch; a capsule is ideal for both – period.

Since research is too much for Big Jim, I have done it for him. This lawmaker is a democrat. What is it with democrats wanting to raise taxes on everyone, but seldomly pay their own taxes. What is with this cat and all the Obama picks, I am wondering if any of them pay taxes?

Aaron: I strongly sugest you issue an apology to Jim and re-do your research. Willie Talton is in fact a black republican.
