Phil Gingrey on the topic of Rush Limbaugh, again

U.S. Rep. Phil Gingrey of Marietta waded gingerly back into the Rush-Limbaugh-is-not-my-leader debate this morning.

“We have leaders,” the Republican congressman said on C-SPAN’s “Washington Journal,” naming Georgia colleague Tom Price of Roswell and others. “These talk show hosts are not Republican leaders … but they are strong voices of conservatism.”

My AJC colleague Bob Keefe monitored the interview, and passed along the material above.

Gingrey, you may remember, got into hot water with the radio-host-
who’s-not-the-Republican-leader back in January, after he said it was easy for voices such as Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Newt Gingrich to “stand back and throw bricks” without worrying about having to do what’s best for the party or the country.

After an avalanche of calls from Limbaugh’s “dittoheads,” Gingrey went on his show to publicly and profusely apologize to him, saying he regretted anything he said that offended his fellow conservatives.

It was a trail-blazing path followed this week by Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele.

On CSPAN Thursday, Gingrey adroitly avoided bringing up the latest Limbaugh dust-up, in which the radio-host-who’s-not-the-Republican-leader wants to have President Barack Obama his show to debate public policy.

Draft-dodging papist Gingrey, like draft-dodging papal front and pill-popping, porcine pederast Limbaugh, is no man.

We already had the Presidential Debates. If Rush had the answers to our problems, why did he not run for President? I wish that Chicken Hawk Rush Limpball would run. Currently, he mouths off and does not have to worry about responsibility, let alone research and the consequences of his actions. He will not run for office because he is the quintessential Chicken-Hawk. It took eight years for the Republican Reactionary Neo-Cons to create this economic depression, and it will take a few years to resolve it. I know Rush Limbaugh is serious, and he is seriously demented. Rush Limpball is an entertainer who is responsible to no one but his advertisers. Rush Limpball, has never been elected to anything by popular vote. President Obama has more important people to deal with. There is the Senate, the House of Representatives, State Governors, the Department of Defense, business and industry leaders, and heads of states from around the World. He was elected to deal with the issues of the United States, not to help Rush Limball’s advertisers.

Limbaugh, a draft-dodging pederast working to subvert The People and The Republic by pandering to Rome’s “Father Coughlin remnant:” “Bushites” who in the Thirties sympathized with Adolph Hitler and Mussollini and now attack The People’s Elected president, must be directly attacked by the righteous indignation of true Americans.

Those businesses who choose to use his crypto-fascist, anti-American platform to market their products must come to discover unprofitability in their partnership with Rome’s Fifth Column.

To be pitied and reviled, Limbaugh must be allowed to find his soul and overcome the trauma and molestation of his upbringing he has yet to confront in a therapeutic way, in a manner and place where he can do no more harm to Our Country. He believes the Roman Church is the “rock-ribbed backbone of American moral values.” His perversion and licentiousness is reflected in that belief. The Vatican or a jail cell is the proper place for those sympathies, not on our public airwaves. The businesses who keep him there must be boycotted, at the very least. His traitorous faction must be expropriated and banished, its criminal leadership tried and fried.

Larry Linn, you are correct: Rush doesn’t want a job in government because when you make your living doing things, instead of by talking, there are consequences. You can’t be in government if your popularity is essentially that you say negative things that people agree with. If you thing that G. W. Bush was straining credulity when he said “I’m a uniter” think how you would feel hearing Limbaugh say it! No, he ejoys being a thorn in people’s side, and that’s what he was meant for.
If Rush ran the world, the punishment that he prescribed for drug addicts would have been meted out to him.

Rush Limbaugh IS a leader – an opinion leader as are many columnists and other media personalities (Walter Cronkite, etc.). Rush is not the GOP leader. We have elected leaders, appointed leaders, communities leaders, religious leaders, etc. No doubt Rush plays a role – how big – depends on who is listening and believes what he is saying has merit. No merit, no followers. Clearly he has struck a raw chord with the new administration otherwise they would just ignore him.

The Republican Leader is indeed Rush LimpPig there is no way to convince me otherwise when the pig’s puppetteers say something about Porky Pig they immediately oink and squeal to apologize the list is growing: Gingrey, Steele, Cantor, and Boehner, McCain and growing.

Mary-Jones,

The reason Dems are doing this is due to a recent poll that shows Rush is even less popular with Americans than even the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Creating a situation in which elected Republican leaders have to cow-tow to him, tripping all over themselves to apologize for even the slightest affront, cements the notion in the minds of many that Rush is calling the shots in the GOP and not elected GOP officials. Rush is either too stupid or self-serving to see that his failure to shut his pie hole just feeds into this scheme.

Limbaugh is the Pope of Idiotville. His followers, being Idiots, are of course fanatically devoted to him and clueless about how much America laughs at them.

Rush became successful selling the notion that, somehow, it’s a GOOD GD IDEA for Americans to loathe and despise each other. And he doesn’t sell it cheaply, either, as evidenced by his purchasing power, political clout, and ability to buy THOUSANDS of OxyContins, coerce his maid into committing felonies to obtain them, doctor shop, and carry NOT-HIS prescription Viagra on a trip “with the boys” to the Dominican Republic, while spending nary a day under the pokey, the place he damned our traumatized addicted WAR VETERANS to rot, if it were up to him.

I didn’t buy the notion in the 80s when people were ditto-ing about me with glee, and I’m not buying it now. If you claim that “Rush speaks for” you, then you’ve bought a rancid view of the world, American, and yes, yourself.

Sure, there will always be some who loathe, and some who are truly loathesome, but by and large, Americans are better off when we disagree by discussing facts (real ones, not fake ones), listening to each other, and letting venomous bloviators like Limbaugh slide back into the morally and spiritually bankrupt sludge from which they crawled. If all you can be is a big giant PR–K, then you really don’t have much to offer your country. Most of us, I believe, are willing to be better than that.

With the country in shambles, why the heck is the administration picking fights with Limbaugh? Rush went from 15 million to 25 million listeners over the past week! The only person gettting a stimulus in this day and age is Limbaugh, and he is laughing all the way to the bank. May be the President should run around picking fights with everyone in the country so we can get in on some of this cash. This is not the Change I voted for. I am very disappointed. Mr. Obama needs to step it up. What he is doing is not working for me.

Get your facts straight there, Crabby. It was Obama and his henchmen that decided to pick a fight with Rush. Now it has backfired on them. More people are listening to Rush now than ever before.

Rush Limbaugh, spokesmodel for Rome’s Anti-Christ Fifth Column treason against America, is a draft-dodging pederast.

Wingnuts, pointing out the FACT that Limbaugh is the defacto head of the Republican’t Party isn’t “picking a fight with” him.

It’s Rush who traitoriously said that he wants the United States to fail. Not Obama, not anyone connected with the Democratic party – It Was RUSH who said those words.

He’s y’all’s baby. Embrace him. He’s yours, RightWingNuts.

GayGrayGeek is a liar. Rush did not say he wants the country to fail. That is a lie. Just listen to his show. He does want to Mr. Obama’s liberal policies to fail. So do I. Why do you libs have to lie about Rush? Why not debate him on the merits? Are you scared?

The libs have to lie. This whole Rush side show was hatched in the White House to distract the country from the socialization of the country.

The sovereign American Electorate made Obama president to rectify the treasonous policies and practices pursued by draft-dodging closet-queen Bush, cheated into the White House by only the Roman Catholics on the Supreme Court, to commit 9/11 and oversee the draining of the economy on behalf of the Roman Anti-Christ and its fascist plutocracy his family has been serving since they were Organized Crime in Kansas City in the 1800’s and fronting for the Vatican-banker Rockefellers since they built Roman Catholic Big Oil on unredressed murder and arson in 1870’s Cleveland.

Only traitors, against the People and the Constitution, object to Obama’s sincere, graceful attempt to pull America from the abyss to which we have been brought by the sectarian faction lead by the pederast draft-dodger Rush Limbaugh.

Those who support Limbaugh despite his gross lack of character are his kindred spirits and an offense to G-d.
