Report from BET Hip Hop red carpet: Sheree Whitfield
Just before she was yanked away from us Saturday night, “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member Sheree Whitfield confirmed to us that she attended Friday’s funeral for Ashley A.J. Jewel, the former fiance of cast member Kandi Burruss.
“Kandi is holding up as well as can be expected,” Whitfield told us. So when might the postponed “Housewives” reunion special be taped after being delayed by the Jewel’s killing this month?
“I don’t know,” Whitfield hedged.
Really Sheree?
“Well,” she explained, “I’m not going to tell the AJC!”
The fashionista was dressed in gray with bejeweled royal blue Versace heels. Her toenails were painted a bright pink for the occasion.
Interestingly, Whitfield ducked out with a security escort before the awards taping began.
Cast mate NeNe Leakes, meanwhile, who was on the media list, was noticibly absent.
And Burruss? She tweeted to fans on Twitter Saturday that she was forcing herself to get dressed and support singer pal Fantasia who was performing at an Atlanta breast cancer benefit.

Dear Kandi, I want you to know that you, your daughter and AJ’s children have my deepest sympathy. It is hard to lose someone that you love no matter how long you were together or even if it was a separation between you two. The love is always there. You and everyone are in my prayers. God will see each one of you through and carry you on and on. Just look to and lean on HIM. Again you have my Deepest Sympathy.

kandi, sooooo sorry for your loss. you are in my prayers. it is so hard to watch episodes with u and a.j. I hope bravo has the decency to edit the scenes where a,j. appears with you. it has to hurt.

Sheree has a rap sheet as long as my arm. She has been arrested many times for theft and you can’t turn your back on her for a second. She is not classy, she’s crafty.
