Spotted! Whitney Houston is back in Atlanta

Over the lunch hour Monday, former Atlantan Whitney Houston was seen popping into a photo session at King Plow Arts Center in downtown Atlanta.
We hear she’s in town shooting photos for an InStyle magazine feature. A fleet of black SUVs and a small squadron of stylists announced the pop star’s arrival.
Fifth Group Restaurant’s director of marketing Michael Erickson was at his company’s special event space, The King Plow Event Gallery when he saw the commotion and thoughtfully snapped a photo to share with Buzz readers. As she arrived, Houston was dressed in black and stepped into a photography studio that had blacked out its windows for the occasion.
Upon entering the facility, fans who work in the building attempted to bestow flowers upon the pop star.
But apparently, that sweet, humble lady we all saw on “Oprah” two weeks ago has once again been replaced with the fan-dissing “Being Bobby Brown” version.
We’re told that Houston ignored the well-wishers and their bouquets and kept walking. . .

In her defense, she might have been rushing and trying to overcome the years of being known to be inconsiderate for other people’s time when she would be HOURS late to events and appointments.
She is a person, just a person and is everyone totally kind and considerate every time they are rushing?!!? Leave her alone, damn!

Why is it such a surprise to find out people are not the manufactured image you see on tv. Oprah tried to make a point in the interview that the image we fell in love with in the 80’s was never Whitney, that was a creation of Clive Davis. You can dress up the body but you can’t change the heart, hood mind & soul.
What we saw on Oprah was an professionally coached woman trying to sell a couple of CD’s.

FYI Rich (and Michael Erickson) as crappy as your camera phone pic is, she is clearly wearing BLUE jeans, not all black. You can’t even report the facts as they are presented in pictures!!!

All the naysayers, you really need to stop it and ask God to clean your mind! she is on her job. those so-called fans will understand if they are true fans. but as a fan, I would not have rushed up to her while she is rushing off to work. I wouldn’t do anyone like that, not even the common man on the street. so that was inconsiderate of them. find something else better to do than look for dirt on your fellow man or woman. she didn’t sell you her soul to her fans, just her music. she is entitled to live a normal life like anyone else. people really take the fan thing too far.
and like with any illness, addiction, whatever, you don’t just jump cured overnight so stop expecting her to. one day at a time, that’s all any of us can do. take it one day at a time. and pray for her. send positive energy her way. positive thoughts of success. not all this negativity.

1. To the post, yes, the image was manufactured by Clive, however, Whitney did not come from that type of upbringing, she had excellent polished parents.
2. The pressure of constantly being hounded makes one do strange things. The ordinary citizen has NO idea just the pressure of people watching ever move you make
3. Love I look to you, sure the voice is not the voice of the 80’s but at least its a start back.
4. She had so many people want to ‘be here friends’ and I am sure she didnt know who to trust. I have experienced some of that in my life only because I am successful. You never really know who your friends really are.

I am surely a fan of Whitney’s talent. As for her personality, I do not know her. I am not sure what causes one to react the way they do to “fans”, so I will refrain from speculating at this time. Hopefully she is grateful to those who support her. Without our support, there is no “success” for her career. More than her career, I am glad and thankful she is alive and appearing to be doing well! Somone mentioned that her voice is not the same. I agree….here is why:

So Whitney is in a hurry, aren’t you ever in a hurry. Just because she is a Celebrity and all, it doesn’t make her perfect, but at least she is trying, she didn’t give up and I think she is doing good considering her past and all the Hell she has had to go through. Just because she wouldn’t answer a question or two from you or give you the responses that you may have wanted, it doesn’t make her a bad person, just a smart one!

Here’s a news flash!! Whitney is allergic to flowers!! So, while she is grateful for the thought–she doesn’t want an allergic attack before the photo shoot. She was in a hurry–and if you are really a Whitney fan, you know she is always moving fast in airports, public places, before entering cars, etc. etc. She doesn’t linger. There are many, many public figures who do exactly the same thing. Why don’t “reporters” do their homework in these articles? This is such a beloved singer–let’s just celebrate the fact that she is facing her past and courageously returning to the spotlight. Welcome back, Whitney!! You have been missed!!
