ya'll forgettin the vatican chose pac to be in their myspace playlist..if they understand his value to the world and the virtues he possessed there should not be any criticism about why his writings are next MLKs..anyone else commenting saying ignorant things and being negative needs to unplug their internet cable immediately.

Wow. Pretty sad indictment of african american culture when a self professed criminal gets his deep thoughts put alongside the writings of visionaires like MLK. Some insight like the following that he penned:

First off, f@!k your b!tch
And the click you claim
West side when we ride
Come equipped with game
You claim to be a playa
But, I f@$%ed your wife
We bust on Bad Boys

So sad to see the ignorance of so many people who can't think, read, or research for themselves who instead let the media paint a picture for them. If they would take the time to find out about this young creative genius, and were not so uppity, stuck up, ignorant and so foolish to get all of their information from the media-- maybe they would acquire one fourth of the intelligence of Tupac Shakur. Those who are stereotyping Tupac never read half of the things he read, don't know a thing about creativity, and could not represent or speak for any culture if somebody wrote it for them and told them to read it out loud. Probably won't go to the library because it means using their own brain.

What a perfect exhibit. Can't wait to schedule school groups to see them so they won't be as ignorant as some of the robots on this board. Love the fact that there are white and black people who have researched Tupac, able to analyze and evaluate his creativity like intelligent human beings.

Shame on any black person that has anything negative to say regarding Tupac's work when they know nothing of him beyond what or how the media portrayed him and his genre of music.

To those who have a negative opinion of Tupac, watch his movie Resurrection. First of all, he was a artist.....Grow up!! He felt if he talked about the life he saw on the street, people would take action. Second, he grew up poor and his role models were street individuals. He was becoming a man, however his process was complicated. If we go to the movies and view a horific movie, do we condem the director????????
No, because it is only art. Tupac painted lyrical pictures!!!!!!!!!!!Some fact.....others fiction

I'm a young African-American man living in Atlanta. I can tell you that Shakur was no hero, artist, or someone to emulate. His actions and words were extremely offensive and only perpetuated the stereotype that a lot of people have of us, as nothing but thugs. I would much rather be equated with the man Dr. King was. Thank you.

Unbelievable. What next? A posthumous honorary doctorate for Shakur? Maybe it could be presented by Cynthia McKinney! Only in Atlanta is Shakur considered a hero.

NEWSFLASH TO WHITES: BLACKS DON’T GIVE A DAMN WHAT YOU’ALL THINK ANYMORE.

Understood...just to be clear whites care about being civil, upstanding citizens of their community.

I think it's pretty simple: one of these men was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, while the other shot an off-duty police officer - in the back.

Perhaps the dichotomy is worth studying, but not worth defending.

Oh, and Dr. King wore a belt.
