Why is the writer of this article trying to make it all about the cake? The show is called “Real Housewives of Atlanta”. Not “Real Bakery Artists of Atlanta”…. Even though the show is stupid and it’s not representative AT ALL of African Americans, it’s still about them, not the bakery.

Atlanta is a nice city and watching a reality show about housewives and their lives, should not put a damper on the whole city and what it’s about. I don’t see how this show affect the way the city is. I’m from North Carolina and I love Atl each time i visit. Each time I watch this show it makes me laugh it is so funny, I was talking to a coworker who also watch it. she also committed how funny it was. So people this show is not the end of the world. These women are getting paid. Kandi you go girl and do not change for no one.

Yes, you do have the right to boycott any place you want to just like other people have the right not to. You stated your reasons for boycotting and people stated their reasons not to boycott. Agree to disagree and let it go. Oh, and I am very intelligent and because of that, I know that this is a free country and these folks can put whatever they want on their channel. I would hope that your tv has the ability to change channels. What I don’t understand is, why the same people who have so much negative things to say about the show, keep watching it? I don’t call that intelligent. And the statement about not having ” passion or intellect to understand the reasons why we feel the way we feel..” I do understand how you feel, I don’t particularly care about how these women are allowing themselves to be portrayed either, but I also know that people should have the freedom to watch what they choose to. If we start dictating what is played on tv then what else are we going to try to control. I say have control over your household and what it watches and let everyone else choose for themselves.

One: I do have a right to boycott any place I choose to boycott – end of argument. Two: the simple fact that some of you don’t understand this argument is because you obviously don’t have the passion or intellect to understand the reasons why we feel the way we feel. We have become a very passionless, angry, “nobody gives a damn, it’s everyone else’s problem” society, therein lifes the reason we have this garbage on TV, and so many of you find this okay. We’ve become desensitized to this type of over-the-top, rate whoring program.

The show belongs to the “Jerry Springer” genre ,definitely.
Too mnay Atlanta female are devoid of social graces, educational contents, and modesty. Excess emphasis on clothes, shoes , artificial hairs and styling which only confirms their insecurity and imitation of whites,…and loudness and looseness.

Neither should black women allow themselves to be portrayed in these roles which appears to be reaffirming what the white producers and the white society at large think of them .

The cake was beautiful. I will patronize Highland Bakery to see their other creations. Who cares about Sheree’s freedom party…How come Dwight did not have an alter ego photo done?
