First of all i just have to say thank you to atlclassygent for resonding to bulldogs ignorant ass commint. Just what i was thinking!! Just as well as the music industy has honored Elvis, jimmy, rick, and michael, they can most definitely honor my cousin for all that he has contributed to this posion infected ass industry! So please let me clear it up for bulldog and all others! First of all my cousin has never been a rapper nor has ever aspired to be one. I can not speak for Dej Jam but i can speak on behalf of my family when i say that in no way form or fashion are we trying or wishing to glorify commiting sucide or black on black crime!!
On top of Shake already being gone, this was a very unfortunate and ugly situation that i know could have been handled in a different mature manner and was quite embarassing for my family. The first thing i thought was like dam my little cousin Micaela, who LOVES her daddy had to hear and be a witness to all of that drama that is going to stick with her like forever. Kids are very sharpa and believe me she is. Dam it already hit the ATL news, knew it would! RIP Shake and i really wish my cousin could rest in peace!! I miss you and love you!
Remember two wrongs don’t make a right and God does not like ugly! Lets get it together adults!

Commenters, allow me to weigh in here for a moment. Some of you are confused about who the honoree was. Mr. Stewart was the executive vice president of Def Jam, a record label. He also had a successful career in music publishing and notably signed a young singer named Beyonce Knowles in 1999.

@ bulldog bubba. To make a comment about why pay tribute to rappers who committ suicide or kill each other through gangs was. It was not a tribute to kim killing himself, but how he contribute to music. Also, no one is complaining about Elvis, He died from a drug overdose.It’s not about the life they lived outside of music, but how they contribute to music. Let’s not be ignorant

Why do we pay tribute to rappers who either commit suicide or kill each other through gang wars.It just makes others think there is glory in dying.How stupid!!!!Thats what teenagers don’t need to hear or see.Grow up people!!Whats so positive about someone killing themselves?Life is more valuable than that.

I was actually there and heard her yelling right after they exited. I was unclear if it was the fiance or mother yelling but several “body guard” types rushed backstage right after.

I was flipping through shows and caught this very moment on the live show. And yes, someone did say, “You killed your son!” But I didn’t hear the F-bomb. I heard, “Don’t touch me, ever! Ever! You killed your son!!!”

What the mess was this all about? I didn’t know who the guy was and when I looked it up, I remember the news of him killing himself.
