Usher, Tameka divorced finalized? UPDATED
Despite what celebrity website mediatakeout.com is reporting, Atlanta pop star Usher’s divorce from wife Tameka Foster Raymond has not been finalized, according to attorneys familiar with the proceedings.
The performer filed for divorce from his wife of less than two years in Fulton County in June. The Website claimed that the divorce was finalized so quickly due to the singer’s “iron-clad pre-nup.”
Buzz opted to check on the status of the case by contacting Atlanta attorney Randy Kessler who has been representing Foster Raymond in the divorce.
“No comment, sorry,” replied Kessler.
One potential reason for that?
Kessler hasn’t represented Foster Raymond since July, according to Atlanta lawyer B.J. Bernstein. She emailed to inform Buzz that she, along with Kevin Ward of Schulten Ward and Turner are now representing Foster Raymond in the case. Writes Bernstein: “The case is still pending and not final.”
Bernstein is perhaps most celebrated in legal circles for going all the way to the Georgia Supreme Court in 2007 to win the release of her client Genarlow Wilson, the Georgia teen originally sentenced to 10 years in prison for having consensual sex with another teen.
In other words, Foster Raymond has hired another top-notch, high-profile Atlanta legal eagle to represent her high-stakes interests. Stay tuned. . .

I think Tameka gets a bad rap for reasons not many can describe. They often say that they just don’t like her which I find curious. I enjoyed the point of view opened up by her Huffington Post article and discussed in the link below.

Yeah yeah everybody says he should have remained with Chili. Why? If someone’s not happy in a relationship, why stick it out? There is nothing wrong with being SINGLE. And, if he wanted children he could have adopted and spared the “extra expense.”

Hmmm…he should’ve stayed with Chili, but Tameka is so old! They’re the same age!!! Chili just looks a lot younger than she is AND, neither of them is even 40 and only a few years older than Usher. He’s 31, not 21!!! Geesh! If this were a relationship with an older man and younger woman, age wouldn’t even be mentioned.
The number of kids she has is irrelevant. Again, if this were a man with kids, it wouldn’t be an issue. I think we have a lot of jealous people of this blog. You know very little about this woman (only what you’ve read) and yet you’re ready to pass judgement. I wonder if we put your life in the spotlight what would come out. I know I wouldn’t want it. And if you really knew anything about her, you’d know that she is a stylist to the stars. I doubt that she makes $50K a year! She is quite capable of taking care of herself. Again, making assumptions about somebody with absolutely no facts at all.

I mean yes, she was probably having an affair with not only Usher but probably many men before her marriage with the first set of kids father, but isnt that the Georgia way; it’s easier on the kids if we both just do our thang and no one gets hurt you stay out of my way and i’ll stay out of your way you want the divorce you go and get it cuz I aint paying for it you want it you pay for it.
And then she had the Usher duop and boom she finally divorces the first husband with the first set of kids, boom-boom has baby number 1 with Usher and then boom-boom-boom gets pregnant again with baby number 2 with Usher, that girl aint fertile she knew what she was doing.
So dont blame her blame it on the game!!!! She played it and she won–she got her pre-nup and then some, either way he will have the boys just like the first father has the other set of kids.

The number of kids a person brings to a relationship is important because you are blending a family. Issues always arise, for instance, regarding discipline, the non-custodial parent (baby momma/daddy), etc, etc… so you can’t say the number of kids is irrelevant. It was just plain stupid for dude to put himself in this position considering he could’ve had his pick of the litter. Tameka isn’t ugly, she’s just not that attractive and has “man-ish” features. And i don’t buy that bs about people hatin’ on her because she’s dark-skinned. Chili has a lovely dark complexion as well and is straight up gorgeous. My wife is a chocolate chip and fine as hell. So GTFO! People don’t care for Tameka because she is viewed as incompatible with the likes of somebody such as Usher who really could’ve done a lot better for himself.

Concerning skin color, Chili and Tameka are not that far apart in tones. Chili has a beauty that has an innocence about it. Tameka like a lot of us need a little make up to bring out the beauty. However both ladies are attractive in their own way. Furthermore, Usher married Tameka because he wanted to, he obviously loved the qualities she portrayed, because as far as I know there was no shot gun involved. Lastly, it is rare when to people hook up from an affair that the relationship last. “Never marry the person that you’ve cheated with”.

It would be interesting to know how many of you commenting about who Usher should and shouldn’t have married, are in a successful FIRST marriage and don’t have children from a previous relationship. With the number of divorces and unwed pregnancies in our society, I would guess that at least some of you are on marriage number 2…3…4 with kids by man/woman number 2…3…4! Everybody wants to judge. That man married who he wanted to marry. End of discussion. For the person who said “he could have had his pick of the litter”, HE PICKED WHO HE WANTED OUT OF THE LITTER! His idea of beauty may not be the same as your’s but so what! I’m sure that you all think that your significant other is attractive, as you should. But guess what: There is probably someone out there who doesn’t share your sentiment. Does that mean that you shouldn’t be with him/her? Of course not! The same goes for Usher and whomever he chooses to be with. His relationship choice is no one’s business but his own! How about we all spend less time worrying about what Usher, Tameka Foster, and Chili are doing in their relationships, and focus on our own. Bottomline, Usher wanted her and penned my favorite album about his love for her. “Chilli” didn’t get that, He really must have felt something, They have two children both born while they were married.
