Car-loads of movie fans encountered an extra bargain at the Starlight Drive-in Sunday night. In conjunction with Turner Classic Movies, the venerable Moreland Avenue institution offered a screening of the classic 1964 Elvis Presley classic “Viva Las Vegas.”
What’s more, admission was a measly $1 per car and the Starlight offered Elvis fans a free medium popcorn with each medium beverage purchase. As part of TCM’s month-long “Summer Under the Stars” marathon on TCM, the famous flicks will be featured each Sunday night locally at the Starlight.
Here’s the rest of the line-up: “To Catch a Thief” on Aug. 16, “Bonnie and Clyde” on Aug. 23 and “Lolita” closes out the month on Aug. 30.
