Whitney Houston to kick off “GMA” fall concert series
The hype machine continues to hum overtime on occasional Atlantan Whitney Houston’s new album, “I Look to You,” due in stores September 1.
On Thursday, ABC’s “Good Morning America” announced that Houston, a former Country Club of the South homeowner (who still returns to the area to visit relatives), will kick off the network morning show’s fall concert series this September. No specific date was announced.
“I Look to You,” the singer’s first new recording project in six years, is being overseen by mentor Clive Davis and will be released via Arista Records, the same label who issued the singer’s original hits nearly 25 years ago.

No way will Whitney return to music..too far gone and drugged out and can’t get clean. Didn’t even show up or could sing at MJ’s funeral. Came out on the awards acting goofy and stupid.
What a shame..someone who took for granted the beauty she had the voice and threw it away for drugs and the low life.

She is on GMA right now, and this is just pathetic. First she continually didn’t show up on stage after each introduction, and now she is barely standing and barely singing. If you are a fan, remember the old days but forget her now. I feel a little embarrassed for her, but its exactly what I predicted this morning – same old Whitney showing up late, stoned, and barely able to function.
