Derek Jeter Tuesday night at Turner Field.

New York Yankee infielder Derek Jeter and teammate catcher Jorge Posada carb and protein-loading on bucatini alfredo with chicken at Twist in Buckhead. Apparently, the hearty lunch worked Wednesday.

The duo and their teammates went on to beat the Braves 8 to 4 Wednesday night at Turner Field in front of about 42,000 fans.

Buzz Central has now confirmed that 13 of the estimated 42,000 baseball fans were actually there to support the home team. . .

What I would like to know is why an army of INS agents wasn’t at the Georgia Dome last night for the soccer game to round up great multitudes of illegals in one big scoop.

I hate EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU who caused a traffic nightmare last night and made many of us miss the first 4 innings of the Yankees-Braves game by backing up I-75 for 2 freaking hours.

Seal the Border, and…

GO, BRAVES !

Hey Traffic,
I suppose you are a Navajo or something. I took 20 and got the match fine. Don’t blame others for your lack of preparation Ese.

To ‘I hate traffic’. If you had read the newspaper rather then your subscription to ‘ I’m a racist idiot ‘ you would have known that downtown was going to be a mess last night.

Try MARTA next time; oh wait I’m sure in your opinion the INS should ’round up great multitudes of illegals’ there too.

Wake up!!!!

sure the traffic was snarled up last night due to Yankeee fan not the ‘illegals’ as you put it. I guess according to you every non-american soccer fan is an illegal.

I think the Mexican soccer fans on TV being asked what they thought of the US beating Spain in soccer who answered “We (meaning Mexico) will still beat them” should be the ones rounded up and shipped back to Mexico. In Atlanta, “we” is the United States.

Hey Traffic: nobody likes you. Nobody.

Huh?

After getting beat up for suggesting that illegals should be arrested and returned to their own country, I’ll bet you won’t try something like that again.

I mean, what if you suggested that pedophiles should be rounded up and put in jail. Why, they’d be all over you. Be careful.

Bret and Take MARTA –

Get over yourselves, Losers.

I don’t know about “I Hate Traffic,” but my co-workers and I actually DID read the paper and get the radio reports, accordingly left work 2 hours early and STILL missed the first place.

When we went to the Yankees-Braves game the night before the soccer match, traffic wasn’t any problem.

I personally do not care whether you are here legally, but I will be THE FIRST one to deport you when you interfere with enjoyment of the Braves.

CORRECTION: We missed the first PITCH, not “place.”

Anyway, you get the idea.

Can we just have a blog about the frikkin’ match instead of it turning into a dadgummed race war?? White, Black, Hispanic, Asian, East Indian, West Indian… what the frick?? EVERYONE WAS STUCK IN TRAFFIC. That’s what the citizens get when you let idiots develop stadiums and arenas in close proximity of one another with know rhyme or reason. But one thing for danged sure, we don’t need the racial remarks. It’s cheap and petty and truly shows the air of ignorance that underscored this city. Grow up.

“I hate traffic” this is a great website…it gives you the traffic report for the entire city of Atlanta. Before I left my office to go down to the game, I took a look at this website planed an alternate route and made it to the game in time for first pitch. If you’re going back down there tonight to watch Lowe beat up on the Yankee’s then I strongly suggest you check this out before you head down to the Ted. Also, if you have google maps on your phone, this has traffic reports as well. GO BRAVES!

Ummmm…surface streets were fine. Getting from Buckhead/Midtown to Turner took about 15 minutes. That’s why I say thank God I’m a city girl, and not so afraid of people who aren’t like me that I have to move out to the ‘burbs. We intowners know the short cuts and secret strees and parking places that let you get to your seat with plenty of time. I Hate Traffic, it’s people like you who make the traffic.

Driving to the Ted from Kennesaw last night was AWFUL. We paid quite a bit of money for those tickets, and having to take 1 hour, 57 minutes to get from I-285 down to Turner Field is inexcusable. Traffic backups and rush hours are nightmares, but last night was off the charts! The Atlanta Police handles things pathetically last night, poor even by their less-than-stellar standards. Heads should be rolling over that.

If we truly want Atlanta to be a great city again, we need to start by getting all the rude, foul-mouth, rude, loud-talking, rude, obnoxious, short-tempered, rude Yankees out of here and sending all the illegal aliens back to from which they came.

The aliens who are here legally can stay.

13 Braves fans….please! No reason to have so many bandwagon yanks fans here in Atlanta anyway, how can you sit around calling yourself a good old southern boy and then put on that yanks shirt and go to a game boooooo!!! haha I have been a braves fan for 26 years and if there is one thing I have learned its that most of those yanks fans are from Tennessee, no baseball team so they got to pick if they wanted the Braves, cubs, redsocks or roids, i mean yanks. Lol Either way, my dad grew up in the brox and my mom brooklyn and they live here in the A and even they are both Braves fans…yankee fans in Georgia, please… lol
