Our poor, celebrity-deprived colleague, AJC sports columnist Jeff Schultz has been wondering where Kate Hudson has been during the Braves-Yankees series at Turner Field this week. We found her for you, Mr. Schultz.
But she’s not exactly sweating with you down there at The Ted.
The “Bride Wars” actress has been spotted pretty much everywhere else around the city, however, cheering on her beau, New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez.
On Wednesday night, Hudson and her five-year-old son Ryder (his dad is former Atlantan Chris Robinson of The Black Crowes) watched the entire Braves/Yankees game at Tap gastropub in Midtown. We hear that Hudson and friends shared fried pickles and chips and salsa. She drank Ommegang Rare Vo (a Belgian amber ale) and ordered a Cobb salad. Onlookers report to Buzz, “She was really sweet to everybody.”
On Tuesday night, the downtown Ritz-Carlton called ahead to Morton’s The Steakhouse to see if there was availability for a “special guest” in the bar.
Thirty minutes later, Hudson arrived during the 7th inning of the game took a seat at the bar to watch the final two innings.
We’re told that “she sat close to the television, enjoyed a chopped salad with blue cheese dressing on the side and intently watched as the Yankees lost 0 – 4.”
Post-game, Hudson was picked up by the Ritz Carlton and escorted back to her hotel.

We cultivate this cheesecake in this country. One of these days a generation is going to decide to wake up one morning wanting something more than light reading and worrying more about living their own lives than some bimbo’s in a bar. Then who do you sale your toxic mortgages and credit cards to?

Kate is my favorite. If I had known, I’d have been there.

Small correction: The beer is Rare Vos, from Brewery Ommegang, in Cooperstown NY, not Belgium.
