Confirmed: Keyshia Cole dating Cavalier Daniel Gibson

Keyshia Cole is off the market. Cole, the R&B songstress who resides in Alpharetta and will play the Fox Theatre Thursday, is dating Cleveland Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson, Cole’s publicist confirmed Tuesday. Their status had been rumored on the Internet, and they were photographed together leaving Cole’s concert in Chicago last Friday.

Prior to that, Cole wore Gibson’s jersey in her recently released “Trust” video with Monica, and Cole sang the national anthem at a Hawks-Cavaliers playoff game at Philips Arena. If you’re wondering, Gibson, a Cavs sub, played 14 minutes that night in front of his sweetie but did not score in Cleveland’s Game 3 win.

Five thousand donate to Save Paste campaign

It’s been about a week since Decatur-based music magazine Paste went public with a request: Save us.

In a rough economy that’s doling out sucker-punches to the publishing industry — really, Buzz feels you — the magazine set up a Save Paste donation site and asked artists to offer up …

For sale (soon): Ann’s Snack Bar, home of the “Ghetto Burger”

Ann Price, "Miss Ann," serves up a "Ghetto Burger" to customers at her Kirkwood restaurant in 2008.

Ann Price serves up a "Ghetto Burger" to customers at her Kirkwood Restaurant, Ann's Snack Bar.

Ann’s Snack Bar, the Kirkwood home of the “World Famous Ghetto Burger,” might not be around much longer — at least not with Ann herself.

Ann Price, known to her customers and the world at large as “Miss Ann,” told Buzz on Monday that she’s ready to sell after 37 years of hand-shaping patties for hungry customers.

“You got a buyer?” she shot into the phone.

Miss Ann won’t be locking the doors just yet. She plans to talk with a real estate agent in a couple weeks, and doesn’t yet know the price, but wants it on the market at the end of the month. It’s not clear if the restaurant will remain open once it’s out of Miss Ann’s hands.

“I don’t care what they do with it,” Miss Ann said of the building at 1615 Memorial Drive. “Once they pay me for it, they can do whatever the want with it.”

Jezebel Flips The Script At Inclement Spring Fling

The main draw for Jezebel magazine’s poolside summer preview party at the Grand Hyatt over the weekend was supposed to be a balmy spring evening and a performance by pop princess Natasha Bedingfield.

The weather was less than cooperative, however, so the open bars and Dreamy Gelato cart were moved inside to the Buckhead hotel’s main ballroom. Bedingfield’s opening act, Dublin pop-rock band The Script, meanwhile, inadvertently managed to steal some attention from the singer with a mini acoustic set.

The Irish act signed to Sony Music will open this summer for U2. Singer Danny O’Donaghue, guitarist Mark Sheehan and drummer Glen Power introduced the crowd to selections from their impressive soul-infused debut album.

Launching into their single “Before the Worst,” Sheehan observed: “We hope you’re enjoying the Grey Goose [vodka] corner over there. We certainly are! It gets rid of jet lag too.”

After their set, Buzz eavesdropped on one attendee enthusiastically informing …

A Scare-Raising Preview at Six Flags Over Georgia

Monster Mansion, Six Flags Over Georgia’s new incarnation of Monster Plantation, will open Saturday morning, but its first real test came Thursday, when dozens of third graders from Mount Paran Christian School journeyed through the monster picnic and marsh.

Waiting just outside the exit to eavesdrop on their reactions was Gary Goddard, the ex-Disney Imagineer whose company built the old monster ride in 1981, and remade the new one for a 2009 kind of audience.

“Did you hear that?!” he whispered. ” ‘Best ride ever. Awesome.’ Rar! See that? They’re making monster faces!”

Other audiences were impressed, too. Phil Mendez, another former Disney guy who worked on the old and new Monster rides, said it turned out better than he expected:”These guys did a heck of a job re-furring those characters,” he said.

Robert and Peggy Ulrich, local members of American Coaster Enthusiasts, were impressed, too.

“It feels familiar, but it’s all new. It feels like all your old friends, and they’ve …

More Tail-Wagging Fun Set For Turner Field June 10

Stephanie Poynter, 37, from Loganville, Ga, holds her 1-year-old Dachshund, Kiezer, at Bark in the Park at Turner Field in Atlanta, Ga Sunday, May 3, 2009. "He's arrogant," Poynter says of Keizer. "He rules the roost." ELISSA EUBANKS / eeubanks@ajc.com

Stephanie Poynter, 37, from Loganville, Ga, holds her 1-year-old Dachshund, Kiezer, at Bark in the Park at Turner Field in Atlanta, Ga Sunday, May 3, 2009.

On Thursday, the Atlanta Braves continued to court their fast-growing fan base by adding another special night just for them.

And no, we’re not talking about a commemorative Brian McCann bifocals giveaway night either.

Nipping at the heels of its last hugely successful event earlier this month (see ajc.com photo gallery), the Braves have announced the very first prime-time Bark in the Park After Dark set for Turner Field Wednesday, June 10.

Braves spokeswoman Beth Marshall told Buzz Thursday: “After the success of the last Bark in the Park, we wanted to reach out to another segment of Braves fans who might not be able to come to the park on a Sunday afternoon due to church or other commitments. These are always a lot of fun for fans and they almost always sell out for us.”

Marshall was also able to clear up a …

CNN Sign, Ted’s Montana Grill “Punk’d” Courtesy of Kutcher

Actor and MTV “Punk’d” prank show creator Ashton Kutcher made good on his threat to “ding-dong ditch” CNN founder Ted Turner Wednesday night.

Last month, Kutcher promised to pull the prank during an interview on CNN when both he and the media giant were seeking to be the first Twitter users to achieve a record million followers.

The star of “Dude, Where’s My Car” got to the milestone first.

And on Wednesday night, he mobilized those followers via the popular social networking Website to converge on Centennial Olympic Park downtown where his wife, actress Demi Moore was waiting with a U-Haul-It van full of Ding Dong snack cakes. And one large gold bell.

“We had to improvise since Ted doesn’t actually have a doorbell,” explained Kutcher.

Kutcher, clad in an olive green jacket, a Braves cap and a walkie talkie, passed out the desserts to the dozens of his “tweeps” and they all headed for the Ted’s Montana Grill on Luckie Street where Turner’s private residence is located on the …

T.I.’s Loooong Farewell Will Finish at Philips Arena May 24

In a farewell tour that is increasingly dwarfing Cher, Tina Turner and Brett Favre’s, rapper-actor T.I. announced Wednesday that his final pre-prison concert will be held at Philips Arena Sunday, May 24.

The price for the concert with the Grammy winner and his fellow Grand Hustle recording artists: an economical $36.70. Explains the performer (who pleaded guilty to federal weapons charges in March) via an e-mail sent to Buzz Central: “This is my last gift to my fans before I go away for a year. The $36.70 ticket represents the time I will serve while I’m away. Philips Arena will definitely be the place to be on May 24th!”

Technically, T.I. was sentenced to one year and one day which is only 366 days. Buzz was left to ponder how the event’s organizers came up with the $36.70 ticket price (late word Wednesday was that the ticket price might be lowered by 10-cents). Regardless, tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at www.philipsarena.com and www. ticketmaster.com, the Philips …

Kutcher Calling On City For Help With Turner Prank

CNN Founder Ted Turner might want to peek out of the curtains of his downtown penthouse before opening the door this week.

Chances are excellent, the bison billionaire’s visitor will be “Punk’d” creator Ashton Kutcher.

Last month, as the celebrity Twitter addict approached 1 million followers on his Twitter page, the actor went on “Larry King Live” to announce that if he indeed beat the cable news channel to the milestone, he would “ding-dong ditch” Turner.

Explained Kutcher at the time: “I found it astonishing that one person can actually have as big of a voice online as what an entire media company can on Twitter. So I just thought that was just kind of an amazing comment on the state of our media, and I said that, if I beat CNN to 1 million [followers], then I would ding-dong ditch Ted Turner — because I don’t think it’s gonna happen.”

Turns out, he was wrong.

And now, Kutcher just happens to be in town filming “Five Killers” with Katherine Heigl, Catherine O’Hara, Tom …

Atlanta fashion designer and past “Project Runway” contestant Mychael Knight will lecture on “All About Fashion” at SCAD-Atlanta at 6 p.m. Wednesday at SCAD’s Events Space, 1600 Peachtree St, Building C, fourth floor. He was set to be a guest at the debut of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Sheree Whitfield’s fashion line at the W Hotel on Tuesday night.

There was much talk about “She by Sheree” during the show’s first season, but instead of seeing dresses, viewers saw a party for an unfinished line. Expect Whitfield’s styles to play a bigger role in the second season of the Bravo show, which is shooting now.

500 Songs for Kids finishes third year

Josh Rifkind (left), Atlanta’s version of Bob Geldof, for the third year in a row, pulled off a logistical triple axel by gathering 500 different acts to sing 500 different songs at Smith’s Olde Bar over 10 days for his charity group 500 Songs for Kids Foundation.

That’s basically a 70-hour concert over 10 days. And Rifkind emcees the entire thing with an indefatigable spirit.

This year, he and his colleagues chose the 500 most passionate songs of all time, ranging from “War” by Edwin Starr (no. 486) to “Purple Haze” by Jimi Hendrix (No. 330) to Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run” (No. 1).

“This was the best year ever,” said Rifkind, who is also the manager of local band The Whigs. “The overall enthusiasm was up. The place was packed every night.” He even powered his way through a nasty virus partway into the 10 days.

Rifkind’s charity raises money to bring musicians to hospitals and camps to sing to sick children. Last year, he said more than 100 musicians took part and he …
