CNN Founder Ted Turner might want to peek out of the curtains of his downtown penthouse before opening the door this week.
Chances are excellent, the bison billionaire’s visitor will be “Punk’d” creator Ashton Kutcher.
Last month, as the celebrity Twitter addict approached 1 million followers on his Twitter page, the actor went on “Larry King Live” to announce that if he indeed beat the cable news channel to the milestone, he would “ding-dong ditch” Turner.
Explained Kutcher at the time: “I found it astonishing that one person can actually have as big of a voice online as what an entire media company can on Twitter. So I just thought that was just kind of an amazing comment on the state of our media, and I said that, if I beat CNN to 1 million [followers], then I would ding-dong ditch Ted Turner — because I don’t think it’s gonna happen.”
Turns out, he was wrong.
And now, Kutcher just happens to be in town filming “Five Killers” with Katherine Heigl, Catherine O’Hara, Tom Selleck and Martin Mull.
On Q100 Wednesday, Kutcher reached out to the entire city to help him achieve the prank.
“I need the help of the people of Atlanta,” Kutcher announced, pleading with the city’s Twitterers to follow him at www.twitter.com/aplusk and await further instructions.
On the off chance, that, unlike Buzz, you’re not mentally a third grader, “ding-dong ditching” is essentially the act of ringing someone’s doorbell and then running away before the recipient can open the door and scratch his or her head and curse at you under their breath.
Kutcher did concede some challenges with his planned prank, however.
Explained the “Dude, Where’s My Car?” actor: “Namely, Ted doesn’t have a doorbell. Also, Ted’s house isn’t really accessable. We’re having to work around that!”
Adding to Kutcher’s complications Wednesday? His million-plus minions/potential accomplices were temporarily unavailable when Twitter temporarily took down its Website for some scheduled maintenance.
Too bad. Turner was actually in town and in Piedmont Park taping an interview with WSB-TV anchor Monica Pearson.
Our advice to the actor? Bring your “Killers” co-star Heigl with you on the prank. If memory serves, Ted is, um, more than partial to attractive blondes. . .

Ashton Kutcher is a talentless douche with too much time on his hands and too little creativity to go with it.
