Book trade publications are reporting that “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member Nene Leakes has inked a “significant deal” to write “Never Make the Same Mistake Twice: Straight Talk on Love and Life From a Real Housewife.”
We’re hearing that Leakes will write the tome with New York Times best-selling author Denene Millner (perhaps best known for writing “The Sistahs’ Rules: Secrets For Meeting, Getting and Keeping a Good Black Man” and co-authoring “What Brothers Think, What Sistahs Know: The Real Deal on Love and Relationships”) for Touchstone Fireside. Look for the book to hit stores this July.
You’ve been warned.
Overscene
More than 100 people, including former Atlanta Falcon Warrick Dunn, turned out Thursday at Atlantic Station’s Taste Boutique for “Shopping for a Cause,” a benefit for Q100 charity Bert’s Big Adventure. Guests listened to the sounds of DJ Jobe Gruber and shopped for handcrafted jewelry by Honesty, a new line by Nicole Jones, wife of former Atlanta Brave Andruw Jones, and partners Alondeia Chaney and Chantel Watkins. The crowd included shop owner Teresa Caldwell (who is also pop star Bow Wow’s mother) and charity co-founders Bert and Stacey Weiss.

What, she can’t write the book herself?
Gosh, I feel sorry for the one who will end up writing the book, although she doesn’t sound like much of an Einstein herself. She might want to just write it, and put NeNe’s name on it – otherwise, it will take too long, editing out that Ebonics mess…..I can’t even IMAGINE having at that mess with a red pen. This will take years and years to write and edit if the Millner girl doesn’t just sit down and do it herself.

Good for Nene, a friend of mines mention that she was using a ghost writer to write her book about nonprofit organization and how they obtain grants to fund and start their business. http://www.grantsinthreedays.info
