Neither the Obamessiah nor his power-hungry megalomaniac career-politician cronies has done anything at all in the best interests of this nation and its honest citizens. Please note I specifically included all members of both parties - the Republicans and Democrats are equally complicit in the mess we're in. It took more than 40 years to dig this hole; nobody, including Obama, can truly solve any part of it in only 100 days. The answers will not be found in government programs, higher taxes, and government intrusion into the rights and responsibilities of the states and individual citizens. That's socialism, and that's not what the Constitution of the United States of America established. It's not what built this nation into a beacon of freedom and opportunity.

Dear Robert thank you for the diatribe. I said the Republicans, I did not single Bush out, were to blame for the economy -- it was the policies of the first 6 years of complete Republican control and the last 2 years of administative drift that led to the economic debacle. In 1998-2000 we were paying off our national debt, stopped issuing new 30-year Treasury bonds, and had a strong economy. Eight years later we are in the worst economic crisis in 70 years. McCain called waterboarding torture. I did not write that Bush lied about waterboarding; he lied about toture, toture is more than waterboarding, so do not try to confuse the issue by misrepresenting my statements. Mr. Gergen (who has served several Presidents of both parties) called Obama one of the most eloquent after his press conference last night. There was no tele-prompter lat night. Re Gitmo: I never mentioned Gitmo, I assume you are unhappy with Obama's decision to close it. After WWII there were many prisoners on US soil that needed to be tried. We did without the death of any US civilian. We can do it again. Already many of the Gitmo prisoners have been found to wrongly imprisoned so the record re Girmo is mixed t best. You ask a series of questions without making a point. You are a supercilious superficial right wing retrograde who failed to offer any substantive rebuttal and ignored the data I provided. I pity you. Now go listen to Rush, calm down and re-enter your fanatasy world of violence, racists, alcohol and xenophobia.

I give President Obama an A+. He had a great deal on his plate from the previous administration and he dug into that and took on more with grace and charm to boot. I actually enjoy his speeches and look forward to them with an interest I have never had in politics before. He answers questions with an eloquence Mr Bush could only dream of. And Michelle Obama has gotten me into gardening, a feat my family thought would never happen. I tip my hat to the Obamas and a success this country has long waited for and deserves.

CW, your head is either so far in the clouds or so far up Obama's rear end that you just are without a clue. Bush never lied about waterboarding; however, he doesn't believe it is torture. Talk to John McCain; he knows what torture is. You are just an ignorant liberal who believes that if we all play nice in the sandbox, everybody will be happy and leave each other alone. And do you know who Daniel Pearl is? How do you suppose that compares with your silly classification of waterboarding as "torture"? Also, do you know who is responsible for the economy? Congress, not the President. Congress was democrat for the last 2 years and that's when things went to hell in a handbasket. Ever hear of Barney Frank? Head of the banking committee during all of this? You are ignoring simple facts. And Obama's "eloquence" is due to his TelePrompTer. You hear how stupid he sounded when his teleprompter had problems? You think that was worthy of making us proud? You like his apology tour? Saying we're arrogant? Oh, and by the way if Gitmo was so wrong and the people there are not threats, why not invite them to dinner? I'm sure they would play very nice with you.

Cedes' poor grammar is disgraceful. By his comment (despite the grammar) he is obviously black. He is as pathetic as the blacks who have never voted before getting out to vote in their first election just because Obama is black (though remember, he is HALF white - hahahahahahahahaha). One question Cedes: Why is it okay to "assume" that all of the people against Obama "is" white? Oh wait, I got the answer. Because there is nary a black person who would say Obama is incompetent. Even Colin Powell jumped ship. But then again there is Herman Cain and Michael Steele who think Obama is a disgrace, but then again you would probably call them "white" anyway (in the event that you even know who they are...).

An B+. Economy: The Republicans but the US in the worst economic crisis since the Depression. FDR spent 3.5% of GDP for 7-9 years to get us out of Depression; Obama's stimulus is 2.5% of GDP for 2 years. This is hardly out-of-control spending -- Obama needs to put more money in the system. Needs to be harder on businesses and Wall Street. Middle Class help: Republicans stole from the middle class to enrich their wealthy friends; ripped the safety net for the non-wealthy and did nothing but watch as 49 million persons went without health insurance. Obama needs to really make progress in addressing the issues of the middle class in the next 100 days. Foreign Policy: Bush started a war under false pretenses; tortured and lied about it; restarted nuclear proliferation; failed to engage on the Middle East; forced the Gaza election that put Hamas in power. Obama has changed the tone of international discourse, has refocused appropriately on Afghanistan, has started to engage on the Middle East, renounced torture, and restarted the idea of reducing nuclear stockpiles. Finally, he has engaged all citizens (no screening out his critics), answered their questions, and conducted himself as an adult. He is a President that makes me feel proud again to be an American. He is doing a great job under difficult conditions without any help from the Republicans and their wild and crazy far right who call him radical, socialist, and worthy of impeachment. They are bigotted, selfish, and without decency toward their common person.
