Police say they know what a 17-year-old Texas girl did last summer.
Chelsey Elizabeth Taylor is charged as an adult with one felony count of “compelling prostitution” for talking more than a dozen of her “easily manipulated” friends into having sex with a 62-year-old man, according to a report by Houston’s khou.com.
Police say Taylor met Michael Wayne McIntosh, a business owner from the Houston suburb of Friendswood, while working as a hostess at a sports bar.
In June, McIntosh allegedly convinced Taylor to have sex with him for money. From June to October, Taylor convinced her friends at Clear Springs High School in League City to do the same thing, police say.
Prosecutors say Taylor drove as many as 15 of her friends to McIntosh’s home and took a cut of the money they were paid by the man they called “Money Mike.”
McIntosh allegedly paid at least $3,600 to the girls who ranged in age from 14 to 17. One teen told police she was paid $1,000 per encounter.
According to an ABC News report, one of the victims told police Taylor recruited other girls because she didn’t like having sex with McIntosh. That victim told investigators Taylor believed the younger girls would “take one for the team.”
Police began an investigation after a tip from the school system.
McIntosh is charged with three counts of child sexual assault. He is free on a $120,000 bond. Taylor was released on a $40,000 bond. Police said the girls Taylor recruited will not be charged with a crime.
Waitresses at Ojos Locos said McIntosh was a generous tipper and visited four or more times a week.
“I wish he had never done that,” said one waitress, “because he was a really good customer.”
