For sale: Used, positive pregnancy tests

Buying something used is often a good value. Cars, guitars, video games, survivalist gear from the recently deceased … your list may vary.

But a used pregnancy test?

Believe it or not, they are not only for sale, but people are snapping them up for $40.

The Daily Dot ask the question you have already formulated in your head: Why?

One seller in Buffalo said when she became pregnant she was asked for a positive pregnancy test. The requests starting piling up so she began selling them on Craigslist.

“I don’t care what you use it for. It’s not my business,” says the seller.

It’s a good thing gun and alcohol manufacturers don’t have the same policy.

A woman seeking a positive tests in Dallas spelled it out. She said she needed a positive test to “have the last laugh” against her husband, who had gotten his receptionist pregnant. She was “willing to give some girl $40.”

Another seller said you could use the test to “make your boyfriend pop the question” or “play a trick on your parents.”

Sounds fun doesn’t it!

Even Atlantans are getting in on the action.

A woman on Jimmy Carter will assist you in the prank of a lifetime for just $40.

Capitalism: It thinks of everything.

Hopefully, the poor girl who posted the Craigslist ad in your link posted her husband’s telephone number. Otherwise, the proliferation of her post in news stories is going to make her life even worse. She’ll be like those poor people who had the telephone number 867-5309 back in 1982.

Much cheaper to buy a new one and have a pregnant friend “assist” you.

Everything is for sale..............

Why not. Women have been using the pregnancy scam forever.
Selling and using fake pregnancy tests simply completes the circle.
The trick is to prank back and cut out their fallopian tubes while they are unconscious.
Everyone laughs and wins.

“A woman on Jimmy Carter will assist you in the prank…”

No surprise there, JCB is pretty much the armpit (not the anatomical location I really had in mind) of metro Atlanta. Hopefully word of this latest scam will get around and a bunch of guys won’t take the bait – unfortunately though you know some will. Shame on these women.
