Housing authority’s ban of U.S. flag overturned

Communists running Wrentham, Mass., public housing were struck a blow Thursday when the state overruled a decision to ban the U.S. flag.
Residents of Garden Lane Apartments were told they got a little too patriotic July 4th and a letter taped to each door July 11 told them the U.S. flag could only be displayed indoors.
The Wrentham Times has a series of articles explaining the series of events.
State Rep. Dan Winslow began looking into it and called Gov. Deval Patrick, who quickly moved to strike down the ban.
“We were not aware of this decision when it was made, and it was a mistake that is being corrected immediately,” the governor said.
Wilson was a little more fired up.
“I am outraged that tax dollars are paying the salary of state employees who do not instantly recognize the idiocy of such a decision. They should be invited to find jobs in the private sector and unemployed veterans hired in their place,” he said.
Good idea, but I bet dollars to almost free doughnuts that that won’t happen.

absolutely. sad that as the years pass our country seems to grow against what we learned. the sixties and seventies don’t seem so bad now. heck even the nineties. people as a majoriity have lost their path. just my opinion.

I despise all totalitarians, whether they be communists or fascists…the all believe in government power which can only come from taking away personal liberty. Once you start taking away personal freedoms to expand government power, it becomes impossible to stop without great bloodshed. History proves this.

Michael, you remind me of the vast majority of African Americans who believe in Martin Luther King’s dream. The reality is that his dream died on April 4, 1968. Your indifference to what people believe in is the very reason that freedom is fading in our country.
Any American subversive will claim to be fighting for freedom but it’s definitely not the freedom that the founding fathers believed in. As a matter of fact, many people participating in law, government, and public service don’t support the American view, http://www.theamericanview.com/, yet they claim to be fighting with you for freedom.

I hate to sound preachy. But if Americans are going to save our country from the vile and wicked, they must put on the whole armor of God in order to stand against the wiles of the devil.
