The death of a pet can really take the wind out of your sails.
For Dutch artist Bart Jansen, the death of his beloved cat was no different.
Seeking a dignified means of honoring his pet, Orville, named after the elder Wright brother, Jansen decided to have him stuffed and miniature helicopter rotors inserted into his outstretched paws.
He calls the flying, remote controlled art piece the “Orvillecopter,” reports the Daily Mail.
Daily flights of fancy feast are on display at an art show in Amsterdam.
“After a period of mourning he received his propellers posthumously,” said Jansen.
In a related story, domesticated Dutch animals are accepting donations in hopes of inserting a Soyuz rocket into the posterior of an alleged artist.

Unfortunately, I can only use Associated Press pictures and this was covered by Reuters. The links in the story will take you to images.

That’s the best use of a cat I’ve ever heard.

What a sick, untalented, miserable person. His must not have gotten enough attention as a child.

how is this ‘dignified’? and a way of ‘honoring’ his pet?
and this pet was ‘beloved’?
he wants money and attention; pretty sickening.

Hey George,
you reveal a lot about yourself for considering this humor.
I will never read another word you write.

I found the art to be offensive as well, which you might glean from the final sentence of the blog, but I guess you didn’t read that far.
