Woman damages $30 million painting with buttocks

“Smooth as a baby’s bottom” is clearly not a phrase that can be used to describe the anatomy of a 36-year-old Denver woman accused of damaging a $30 million work of art with her naked posterior.
The art attack caused $10,000 in damage to the Clyfford Still abstract painting entitled “1957-J-No. 2,” The Denver Post reports.
Police say Carmen Lucette Tisch visited Denver’s Clyfford Still Museum Dec. 29 and pulled down her pants before punching the painting, sliding her bottom across it and urinating on herself.
“You have to wonder where her friends were,” said a spokeswoman for the Denver District Attorney’s Office.
Tisch is charged with criminal mischief, a charge punishable by up to 12 years in prison, and held on a $20,000 bond.
The painting can likely be repaired, Denver art gallery owner Ivar Zeile told the Post, adding that “just knowing what happened” to the art piece damages it forever in his mind.

That’s nothing, casino magnate Steve Wynn damaged a Picasso painting he owns (Le Rêve) with his elbow and at the time, he had agreed to sell it for $139 million. He jokingly referred to the incident as the $40 million dollar elbow……

“Art is in the eye of the beholder.” This is a criminally prosecutable example of one person rejecting values of one group of people when that groups values do not align with values personally held. Another example on the internet today is Chad Ochocinco and his daughter’s school behavior. Both examples indicate a lack of common decency and the knowledge that citizens of this country have their rights and beliefs as long as expression of theirs does not interfere with the identical rights that all other citizens of these United States also possess. The bare butt butt art female, Chad O, and following along, his daughter indicate their ignorance and lack of decency and decorum through their actions and/or statements. Several other commentors indicate the same ignorance and lack of decency and decorum .

According to the Denver Post article the Colorado legal system has let butt girl off the hook on more than one prior occasion, including armed robbery, and she’ll probably get a pass on this one too…’community service’ or some such. Kumbaya.
