Woman damages $30 million painting with buttocks

She's clearly a lover of art.

Art lover Carmen Lucette Tisch.

“Smooth as a baby’s bottom” is clearly not a phrase that can be used to describe the anatomy of a 36-year-old Denver woman accused of damaging a $30 million work of art with her naked posterior.

The art attack caused $10,000 in damage to the Clyfford Still abstract painting entitled “1957-J-No. 2,” The Denver Post reports.

Police say Carmen Lucette Tisch visited Denver’s Clyfford Still Museum Dec. 29 and pulled down her pants before punching the painting, sliding her bottom across it and urinating on herself.

“You have to wonder where her friends were,” said a spokeswoman for the Denver District Attorney’s Office.

Tisch is charged with criminal mischief, a charge punishable by up to 12 years in prison, and held on a $20,000 bond.

The painting can likely be repaired, Denver art gallery owner Ivar Zeile told the Post, adding that “just knowing what happened” to the art piece damages it forever in his mind.

Good grief, that is my ex! She ran away with a biker gang and left me with four kids and crops in the field!

Huh? Yes, I realize that she damaged something with her butt, but are you suggesting inside knowledge of the actual physical condition of her butt? What does this “clear” perception have to do with the story? I assume this was just a throw-away cliche phrase but it adds zero to the story and is quite awkward.

Her Occupy camp was shut down, so she’s looking for a more effective way to protest.

not going to touch WHY she would do it, but that’s just dumb. I have rather enjoyed the commentary – “Urine trouble”…LOL – but the dude that goes into “his” tax money supports her – is lame.

Okay, that pathetic woman is trash, I agree, but so is the painting. I mean, THIRTY MILLION for that meaningless, smeared-up mess that looks like somebody turned a monkey loose with four buckets of barn paint and a broom? My God, some people are stupid. Money and brains sometimes are not found together.

Sorry, I just have no sympathy for the painting. Any time a painting has more value than the gross domestic product of several 3rd world countries, it says something about those who decide it’s somehow worth $30 million. Maybe the woman is crazy and all…but $30 million for a painting is as crazy as Charles Manson eating fruit loops on your front porch.

The only consolation to this story is that some snobby rich blue blood is going to have to scrub the pee pee of a commoner off of this invaluable piece of crap that looks like my 5 year old niece painted it with a paint sprayer.
