Can Penn State scandal get even worse?

The Penn State scandal is tragic, clearly, but rumors are it may get even worse.

Pittsburgh radio host Mark Madden dropped two potential bombshells in an interview Thursday morning, just hours after longtime Penn State coach Joe Paterno was fired and angry football fans rioted.

Madden said:

* Former assistant Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky was forced by Penn State to retire in 1999 in exchange for a university coverup of his actions with underage boys.

* Rumors are being investigated that Sandusky and Second Mile, a non-profit Sandusky founded in 1977 to help children, was pimping young boys to wealthy donors.

Madden, who has covered the Sandusky story for more than a decade, made his comments on “The Dennis and Callahan Show” when the hosts asked what the next development in the story would be.

You can see and hear the interview here.

Other elements of the story are troubling.

Why, after firing Joe Paterno, who never actually saw Sandusky do anything wrong, is the university allowing assistant coach Mike McQueary, who testified he saw Sandusky molesting a boy in a university shower, to remain on the sidelines for Saturday’s game?

And NBC reports the district attorney who failed to prosecute Sandusky on child molestation charges in 1998, has been missing since 2005. He was legally declared dead in 2010.

Sandusky faces 40 charges of child sexual abuse against eight boys between 1994 and 2009. If convicted, he could spend the rest of his life in prison. He is free on $100,000 bond. He has denied the charges. His next hearing will be in early December.

Lots of questions remain unanswered.

Anybody who knows Pittsburgh radio or who did a little research on it before reporting on it would realize that Mark Madden is a total hack who will say anything to get ratings. He has a daily radio show of which 75% of what he reports is total garbage. Any writer who would report anything as possible fact that this moron reports is even more of a moron. And any idiotic that comments on such an article as possible fact without doing any research is of sub-human intellect.

The allegations are explosive and sickening. However, they are just allegations from a semi-obscure journalist. The fact that the investigation is only being conducted by other journalists says that there is no current credible evidence available to the authorities. So, it is a matter of wait and see. It is interesting to me that Sandusky, as an accused serial molester is out on bond. I am quite frankly shocked that the prosecutors and the judge has allowed that.

The student body need to be concern about those young boys, not a football coach. The world is gone crazy.

Can everyone imagine the dozens of other little boys that Sandusky and his -as yet to be revealed- child molestation network took advantage of,and whose lives are permanently destroyed by their activities, throughout the years? The Pa. authorities should have denied him bail, since the nation may never know the extent of this sickening mess because he committed suicide as new and gruesome revelations are uncovered.

Who were the deep pocketed “donors”?….Were they Second Mile patrons-and/OR Penn State ones also?….DA Gricar -disappeared.?..poof? Into thin space, and his laptop-minus hard drive was discovered on the shores of the Susquehanna river?…(at least it didn’t flood0 And the Penn State administration-Joe P included-tells Sandusky to take a fall and shut up..we will take care of the details..(like Gricar’s poof?naah…)

Smells like one of those classic “FBI cases”….that will take “years” to solve…No?

….And to those little rah-rah boys (and girls) at Penn State….( u love it ,don’t ya …he-he-he-he).
I’ll bet you’ll never forget this experience for the rest of your lives…. .

No women were mentioned anywhere in this twisted scenario, why? Because a woman would NEVER have walked away or let someone else report the rape to the police. She (we) would’ve found a way to protect that child and called 911 ASAP.

This is so horrible. He should not even be out on bond, because he will possibly commit suicide rather than go on trial. Please lock him up so that we can see him on the stand. We have 8 and 10 year old grandsons who are starting to get interested in sports, and I can’t see them taking a shower at any event locker room. What puzzles me is why kids don’t tell. What is it that makes them keep this secret from everybody, including their parents. In an earlier post someone said that they had been molested by the principal from age 3 to their junior year in high school. How can this happen without you knowing you should tell someone. I am sure there is no end to the number of children who had been molested by Sandusky from 1977 when he started the organization to the time he was arrested.
