19 hospitalized in Walmart bleach fight

A desire to live a clean life went horribly awry in the bleach and disinfectant aisle of a Maryland Walmart this weekend.

This farm animal wisely walked past the aisle containing chemicals and furious shoppers.

This farm animal wisely walked past the aisle containing chemicals and furious shoppers.

Nineteen people received medical treatment at hospitals, including three store employees, after two women got into an argument and began slinging toxic liquids. One person sustained a serious eye injury.

The store in Baltimore County had to be evacuated Saturday due to toxic fumes, ABC News reports.

Facing charges of first-degree assault, second-degree assault, theft under $100 and malicious destruction of property is Theresa Monique Jefferson, 33. I assume the theft charge comes from wasting gallons of Clorox Stain Fighter With Color Booster.

She’s being held on a whopping $350,000 bond.

The Associated Press reports Jefferson followed her victim — a woman who is currently the girlfriend of the father of Jefferson’s child — into the store and initiated the attack.

Walmart, in a press release, said it can’t believe people that shop in their stores would act this way.

PR cleanup on aisle 5!

I missed the part of the story where a goat entered the scene of the crime.

“Walmart, in a press release, said it can’t believe people that shop in their stores would act this way.” They have to be kidding. People that live and act that way are the reason for Wal-Mart’s success.

Can you shelve your sensitivities for even a moment? It’s not like you read the story and said those women MUST be white….

Child please.

Big John- It does not have to be a rural Wal-Mart. Any Wal-Mart will do.

Out of all the new stories on the front page, why is this article written as a blog –allowing people to post their opinions? Reason: So that this news story could turn into a racist circus. The author, George Mathis, and the AJC are at fault. You specifically knew what type of bloggers would post and what they would say. As a matter of fact, they are probably saying exactly what you want to say. “Blogs” like this is exactly why we need another newspaper in Atlanta. I hope this paper continue to lose money, and have people standing on the side of the street charging a dollar to try to increase revenue.

*smh* How is racism dead?

Some old lady at the Rincon, GA Walmart called the Sheriff’s dept to report my son had backed his
motorcycle into the “reserved for expectant Moms” parking space. He did not see the posted sign.
Yeah, the Sheriff’s dept came by and told him he wasn’t supposed to park there. I guess some people have nothing better to do.

@ ItsMe,

I agree with you about most AJC bloggers and the need for another paper in the Metro area, but you’re the one making it a racial issue by bringing up the racial comments. Duh! It’s the AJC. That’s what commentators here do.

For the record, Mathis is just funny and posts the best stupid news. He can’t help who frequents his page.

Only at Walmart would a goat be allowed to roam the isles freely.
