While President Barack Obama seeks the secret recipe for U.S. economic growth, a fast-food restaurant in China is inferring he’s already privy to Colonel Sanders’ secret for fried chicken.

The short arm of trademark law.
The Daily Mail and other media outlets report Obama Fried Chicken is using advertising very similar to that used by KFC, aka known as Kentucky Fried Chicken before the word “fried” became a marketing pariah.
The Beijing business sign allegedly contains the phrase ‘We’re so cool, aren’t we?’ in Chinese, but Google translate cannot confirm that for me.
The restaurant’s name may be a way for restaurateurs to decry a tariff on U.S. chicken exports that, according to the New York Times, forces importers in China to pay twice as much per bird.
The restaurant’s sign was first spotted by TheShanghaiist.com.
Mediaite.com writes that using Obama’s likeness to sell fried chicken could be considered “unacceptably racist,” but this isn’t the first time such a thing has happened.
The Daily Mail article has pictures of U.S. businesses using the exact same name in Brooklyn and Harlem.
And KFC itself used an Obama lookalike in a television commercial that ran in Hong Kong. In that clip, KFC even borrows a sentiment from Obama’s 2008 campain … “Change is good.”

I didn’t see Undercover Brother, so they may have re-done it in that flick, but I remember the “rib” question in the movie I’m Gonna Get You Sucka.

I could not disagree with you more regarding you comment that your success or failure is completely on you. That is not 100 percent true. I am a person of color, with a college degree, I follow the rules, I comply. Life chances for individuals are not the same. Please understand that. Alot of the “haves” earned their wealth off the sweat of someone less fortunate, probaby a black man who was not allowed to read and vote among many other things. May I remind you laydee liberty that it was only about 40 years ago that blacks have been free. Did you know that. Blacks are way behind in so many ways. I wonder if they realize it themselves. I am appalled at your comment that if you do not work hard you simply vote Democrat. This is why I study and find information on my on. It is people like you who continue to post and make comments that really do not have merit. In the future, maybe you should think about what you are saying. You sound oblivious like the rest.

Laydeeliberty. Please do not forget to add Rush, Sean, Glenn and all of Fox News of people who profit from racism. And why do I have to be labeled an idiot or brainwashed or ignorant because I refuse to support a racist party like as the Republican party is. Next you will suggest I join the Tea Party/Klan. Futhermore. please don’t insult me by saying there are more racist Blacks than Whites. There can be a blog about the price of apples in the AJC and derogatory comments about Blacks and snide comments about the Presidents race will appear. It’s guaranteed.

I do acknowledge that not everyone is given the same access to all opportunities, but I disagree with your comment that “A lot of the “haves” earned their wealth off the sweat of someone less fortunate”. Most of the “haves” work hard for what they have, put in 16 hour days, take risks and deal with the losses or successes of it on their own, and provide jobs to those “less fortunate” people. Having a degree doesn’t mean all that much these days, especially depending on what the degree is in and your willingness to work your way up the ladder versus expecting the ideal job to be handed to you. And I do realize that the black community is behind in many ways, but I also realize that a lot of their problems are self-imposed (glorifying criminal behaviors and taunting hard work as “being white”, 70% out of wedlock birth rate guaranteeing a continuation of poverty, an entitlement mentality versus an accomplishment mentality) and none of that can be blamed on anyone else. Everyone can’t be painted with one brush, so I do realize that I can’t say “all” or “none” regarding any situation or group of people, but I do think the majority of Americans have an opportunity to lift themselves up, and it is on them if they do or not, regardless of color.
I sound oblivious to you, you sound oblivious to me. We can agree to disagree.

@laydeeliberty, again and this is my final comment on the issue 1-3 don’t apply to black folk for obvious reasons!
We don’t have a belief that we are superior to others, but there are many that don’t look like us that feel that way (history has proven this over and over).
Second, until recently, we did not lead government and even President Obama has limited involvement in Government. He has the ability to sign or endorse after policies, etc. have been approved through the house and congress!
I can go on and on, but I think most intelligent folks get the point!
