Life’s never easy for an ex-con that has a gun, a back-bedroom marijuana farm and a neighbor with a jammed accelerator.

It's never a good day when firemen visit your home. (from Chicago Sun-Times)
Consider the story of Thomas Micucci, 27, from the outskirts of Chicago, who was at home enjoying playing video games with his roommate when a woman trying to back her car down the driveway across the street brought his world, and walls, crashing down.
The roommate, 28-year-old Zachary Isenberg, died when the 1995 Mercury Marquis driven by Patricia Dolton ran him over in his living room, according to an article on WGNtv.com.
Micucci was hospitalized, and police searching the home for more victims found a locked room containing 13 marijuana plants.
In Isenberg’s room, police found half an ounce of cocaine and about $2,000 in cash.
They also found a gun in Micucci’s bedroom, something convicted felons aren’t supposed to have. He faces felony charges for marijuana production and illegal possession of a firearm by a felon.

“I am talking from experience, I grew up in a bad neighborhood and see what the effects drugs had on it, these drug dealers will kill u in a second if u cross there path in a wrong way or during a shoot out so dont even think its just about the drug its about everything around the drug, the person selling it, they have to protect there turf, etc. ”
The gangs are only able to make their income this way because it is illegal.
Imagine pot smokers could buy a pack of joints at the local convenience store and take them home for consumption. In that scenario who would risk going to the ghetto to buy drugs of questionable quality when Marlboro is putting out a better, cheaper product that can be had by any adult? Nobody would choose to buy from the street dealers which then takes away the gang’s income.
Now, following that train of thought, if drugs were legal and the local gangs are no longer are able to make an income selling drugs, will all the violence in the ghetto stop? Of course not, because it’s not the drugs, it’s the poverty that causes the violent cutthroat environment in the ghetto. If it were legal, at least the gangs would have less cash on hand to buy guns and ammo. That cash could be going into the legitimate economy and put to good use. With all the nonviolent drug users no longer a target, law enforcement would have more resources to focus on the violent criminals that we’re all concerned with.
If you grew up with hippies in berkely, CA you would have witnessed an entirely different drug scene and perhaps realized that drug use alone does not cause people to behave like characters out of the film “Menace to Society”.
“I got an easy solution why dont all that want weed to be legal and they want to smoke it as much as they want move to Amsterdam

As much as I love the Dam (have visited many times) this country is my home, born and raised. I have family, friends, and people that depend on me right here. I take my responsibilities very seriously and would not abandon all for your convenience. My cannabis and I are going nowhere.
“he is growing that weed to sell to our kids”
“and if he gets cornered he is going to use that gun on you and me in a quick minute”
you have not a shred of evidence to support your assertions regarding this guy’s intentions, you’re really reaching here. is there something your not telling us?

Legalize weed, bankrupt the cartels, empty the prisons, and save BILLIONS of US money that we need desperately to pay our bills. Keep the money here, within our borders. Trying to regulate a weed that grows wild all over the earth is the most ignorant proposition ever attempted.
Pot hurts no one. No one smokes a joint and goes and hurts anyone. In fact, if all the world leaders passed around the peace pipe before having serious discussions, there would be much less war and far more peace. Many industrialized nations have legalized it, and none have fallen into anarchy or worse. Wake up people. Pot users hurt no one at all,

Was the woman charged with manslaughter or destroying someone’s home? To hell with the marijuana farm and their illegal stash and gun possession.

Pot and driving is dangerous-she probably inadvertently took a hit off his pot plant fumes and backed into the home. Jail time for them all! *shakes fist in air*
