Life’s never easy for an ex-con that has a gun, a back-bedroom marijuana farm and a neighbor with a jammed accelerator.

It's never a good day when firemen visit your home. (from Chicago Sun-Times)
Consider the story of Thomas Micucci, 27, from the outskirts of Chicago, who was at home enjoying playing video games with his roommate when a woman trying to back her car down the driveway across the street brought his world, and walls, crashing down.
The roommate, 28-year-old Zachary Isenberg, died when the 1995 Mercury Marquis driven by Patricia Dolton ran him over in his living room, according to an article on WGNtv.com.
Micucci was hospitalized, and police searching the home for more victims found a locked room containing 13 marijuana plants.
In Isenberg’s room, police found half an ounce of cocaine and about $2,000 in cash.
They also found a gun in Micucci’s bedroom, something convicted felons aren’t supposed to have. He faces felony charges for marijuana production and illegal possession of a firearm by a felon.

Wake up america. Drugs, especially weed are not your problem. You say, oh the children, what aout the children. First of all no one gives drugs away, you buy them like anything else. And second your kids don’t have to go to ar to get high. Just hae to make it to mommy and daddy’s drug cabinet. You as parents are the only people gettging kids high for free. Wake up and end prescription drug abuse before ir kills one of your own. Weed does not kill, no one has overdosed on weed.

@dr. ben, its a fact weed is a gateway drug, after you get burnt out on weed you looking for the next high, coke, pills etc. our biggest problem as people we do not want to admit when we have done something wrong. its this simple he has those plants so he can sell weed to who ever wants to buy it, and he has the gun to shoot who ever gets in his way of him making his money. and for those who say weed is harmless, hmm I dont want the train conductor or the air traffic controller or the bus driver high on anything while he or she is driving me around.

Don’t know the facts, but the families of these guys shouldn’t have to suffer for what these guys were evidently doing, but they will have folks make cracks about this to them I’m sure. As for the guys, if they were doing what is suspected, I can only say…RIP Mr. Isenberg, and Mr. Micussi, I hope you get a fair trial and use your time in the pokey to reflect on the young lives you affect when you sale these drugs……Karma can be mighty non forgiving sometimes…….

ruserious,
I think you need to get your “facts” straight. For the vast majority of people marijuana does not lead to harder drugs. But if you want to call pot a gateway drug, then you’d have to call tobacco, alcohol, and even caffeine gateway drugs because just about everyone who uses hard drugs took those first. Lay off the coffee, man, or next thing you know you’ll be a junkie. There’s no more of a causal link between pot and hard drugs than there is with any of those others. You’ve been duped by the media.
You are right that we wouldn’t want train conductors, air traffic controllers, or bus drivers high on weed, but we wouldn’t want them drunk either, which would have a far worse impact on their performance.
It would be a good thing if laws sometimes made sense.

U know it wont stop at weed being legal u know coke will be right around the corner. Its so funny we all want to live for as long as possible but still want to put poison in our bodies on a regular basis and wonder why we get lounge cancer, and other deceases brought on by drugs, alcohol and over eating. just too funny.
I am talking from experience, I grew up in a bad neighborhood and see what the effects drugs had on it, these drug dealers will kill u in a second if u cross there path in a wrong way or during a shoot out so dont even think its just about the drug its about everything around the drug, the person selling it, they have to protect there turf, etc. and if that air traffic controller was drunk or high on something and got caught they will loose there job and go to jail and u know that so stop trying to make it right when u know its wrong. I got an easy solution why dont all that want weed to be legal and they want to smoke it as much as they want move to Amsterdam

don’,;t see how this was a legal search as the locked room wasn’t part of the crash So how could the think there were more victims in a locked room. . everyone knows what the cops are like in Chicago . I am sick of cops stamping on the 4th amendment

The article DID say: “and a neighbor with a JAMMED accelerator”, RIGHT?
It happens! Comments about the lady are not warranted, according to this story.

That sucks, I’m sure the old lady feels bad, I hope for her sanity something really was wrong with the car.
Old Geezer, good job of parody there, for a minute I thought you might actually mean those horrible words you posted, but that’s improbable, unless Archie Bunker was patterned after you!
Is there is a fund for the dead guys family and other guys legal bills? Unless these two have a long history of violent crimes and robberies I would be happy to donate.
The current law is BS and needs to be changed. New studies show more people are smoking marijuana and less are smoking cyrstal meth, lets hope the numbers keep going that way, but I’m sure the real “old geezers” out there don’t think there is a difference between the two. I hope you never find out by having one relative hooked on meth. You probably have quite a few who smoke pot already but just don’t know it, because they don’t usually cause any problems, and the walking around in a tie dye looking stoned thing is in movies mostly.
