‘Wiener war’ begins in Chicago
Here’s a story you’ll relish: Oscar Mayer and Ball Park are in court to determine who has America’s best-tasting weenie.
Nathan's Famous and Hebrew National say the real champ resides in New York City.
The judge opened the case in Chicago Monday by declaring ”Let the wiener wars begin.” You can catch up to the court action with this NPR article.
At issue is which Chicago company can claim to have the best dog.
Ball Park mustered a legal challenge after Oscar Mayer said “We are tastier” in a 2009 ad campaign.
Immediately, lawyers for the companies immediately began grilling the competition.
The Fooducate blog said neither tastes best. And wurst … err … worst of all, the processed meats are chock full of sulfites and sulfates. ”Buying an identifiable piece of meat … is a preferred choice,” Fooducate said.
A federal judge will determine which company can claim to be best, not a hungry jury.

You absolutely cannot beat the deal at Sam’s……Hot Dog Combo (Nathan’s), including a hot dog and large drink for $1,61 tax included.

if it isnt Kosher, Im not eating it. I guess there are alot of people that still eat those things even after they were told how they are processed; just think of a garbage disposal with sausage skins or cylinder press attached to the drainside. Add some color and flavor enhancers and viola, you have a tasty turd in a bun.

ok, first of all, they`re not saying which is the “tastiest”( which Nathan`s beats hands down) but which one is “tastier”, Ball Park or Oscar Meyer, if Nathan`s decided to enter this childish competition, again they would win hands down.. And no matter what the outcome, you will always have someone cry “unfair”, as each person has their own favorite, as noted in the comments, so how can someone judge which is the “tastier”? The only thing they can really judge on is which one of these two is the “healthiest”.

Are Oscar Meyer and Ball Park competing to see which one is worst? They’re both awful! I’d sooner go hungry than to eat either one. There’s at least 4-5 other brands that are better than these two jokes.
