Models: Landlord hid cameras in bathroom

Tiny hidden cameras may mean big legal problems for a Florida landlord who rented an apartment to two Bulgarian women he’d hired as models.

Police are not sure what motive exists for secretly filming the women. (From Bay 9 TV)

The St. Petersburg Times reports the two women, Vanya Samokovareva, 22, and Ralitsa Dzhambazova, 23, lived in a Tampa apartment for two months and joked about the bathroom and bedroom smoke detectors being cameras, but were shocked when a male visitor Googled serial codes on the devices and learned they were indeed high-tech peepholes.

Wires led to a locked closet which contained an electronic box and something that appeared to be a WiFi device.

Now, the women think videos of them showering are on the Internet.

No suspect has been named, but the women say their landlord has a key to the apartment.

Hillsborough County investigators have recovered some of the electronic equipment, but after a local TV station reported the news, some devices were removed from the apartment.

The women, who had been hired by their landlord to dress up like superheroes, plan to fly the coop at month’s end.

What do we know about this?
1) SOME devices were removed
2) They were asked to model as superheroes
3) They will move out by the end of the month; hey, you gotta get your money’s worth, right?
4) Motive = not known

How did two women from Europe get such deep tans? If they want to move I have a spare room and will pay airfare to Atlanta.

Anybody who finds a hidden camera in their bathroom or bedroom needs to call the police ASAP, tell the officer you want a detective to get a search warrant for the rest of the home and the computer(s) of the landlord, wherever they may be found, including portable laptops.
Then you need to monitor and secure the crime scene until the cops show up and document what they find. The criminal could be watching you find the camera LIVE, and as soon as you leave the apartment, he could come with his tool kit and take away the evidence in minutes.

Wow they maybe need to return to cop school for refresher training if they can’t piece together a motive.
