Secondhand heroin smoke may have killed cat

A Colorado woman is accused of killing her cat by blowing heroin smoke in its face, according to Fox affiliate KDVR in Denver.

Is she crying for Muffin?

Is she crying for Muffin?

Arrested Tuesday, 21-year-old Danielle Blankenship faces charges of cruelty to animals, third degree assault, and domestic violence.

Boulder police went to Blankenship’s home after her boyfriend called to report she’d punched him in the face.

Blankenship said she hit her boyfriend because he refused to let her use his cell phone to call for a ride.

While trying to unsort their stories, police noticed an “unresponsive” cat on the steps. “It could not seem to get up [when touched],” police wrote.

The boyfriend told police Blankenship had been smoking heroin and blowing smoke in the cat’s face.

Animal control took possession of the cat, named Muffin, and began treating it for poisoning, but it died.

A necropsy being performed Thursday or Friday will determine if Blankenship faces felony animal cruelty charges, police said.

Big difference here is, there was a witness who told police what the young lady did (blow smoke in cat’s face) and there was a body at the scene. In the Anthony trail, there was no witness who could report who harmed or killed the little girl and there was no body at the home. Learn the law people. BTW, the jury didn’t declare Kasey innocent, they declared the prosecution didn’t prove their case…which they didn’t. Hate if for Kaley though…

BTW joe, it”s the witness word againts the defendent and more than likely just because it was an animal she will get more than 4yrs for animal cruelty, ask Mike Vick! Yeah they didn”t even charge casey with cruelty to her own child, who you goes 31 days without seeing their child or can’t even tell the truth where see is? It not about the law it’s about the child that somebody killed! She didnt duct tape her own mouth, and she wasn’t playing hide and go seek for 31days either!

What does Casey Anthony have to do with a cat? For heavens sakes get over it. Casey Anthony has been acquitted and will be moving on with her life next Wednesday. Too all the people who don’t like the verdict……………………… GET a LIFE and look for another form of entertainment. Go exercise, read an inspirational book, or adopt a cat!

“…Blankenship had been smoking heroin and blowing smoke in the cat’s face.”

Well at least poor Muffin probably didn’t suffer.

It’s one less cat, why are people complaining?

Hey Old Geezer:

You know, some people feel the same way about old people …

ALL life is valuable. This girl should have to relinquish some of hers for her cruelty to a cat that had no choice. Stupid human.

And just a reminder to everyone – Casey was not found INNOCENT. She was found NOT GUILTY because of a lack of hard evidence. Big difference.

What the story doesn’t tell you is that the ex-boyfriend is a heroin addict who overdosed last year and almost died in the Boulder Hospital and has also spent a year in jail for drugs.

I figure the cat drowned, I have no use for Casey but I’d spend a night with her.

Like it or not, the integrity of our justice system is much bigger and much more important than Casey and even Caylee Anthony. Sorry folks, the system worked and the prosecution couldn’t prove their case. I’d rather have a few people get away with murder sometimes than live in fear of trial by hysterical mob.

And I hope the cops jail this jerk for killing her cat, if it’s proven that’s how it died.

Sick and Tired

We need to give up on these people and isolate them all somewhere removed from the mainstream. Seriously. The last statistics I’m familiar with suggest only about 1/3 of these people ever clean up. Yes, I know this implicates the 1st and 8th Amendments, but why make the rest of us suffer from their crimes? Divert some of the foreign aid money to pay for it. I imagine a great number of these people are already on some sort of public assistance anyway. Maybe some kind of permanent halfway house. While we’re at it, sterilize them too. I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I hate junkies…this is not about Anthony, blame her prosecution. Pay attention ! Our system (my favorite ) looks to history were fair trials did not exist. better a hundred guilty go free than on innocent goes to jail. Im sure we all live next to the guilty so no false comparisons please
