Secondhand heroin smoke may have killed cat

A Colorado woman is accused of killing her cat by blowing heroin smoke in its face, according to Fox affiliate KDVR in Denver.

Is she crying for Muffin?

Is she crying for Muffin?

Arrested Tuesday, 21-year-old Danielle Blankenship faces charges of cruelty to animals, third degree assault, and domestic violence.

Boulder police went to Blankenship’s home after her boyfriend called to report she’d punched him in the face.

Blankenship said she hit her boyfriend because he refused to let her use his cell phone to call for a ride.

While trying to unsort their stories, police noticed an “unresponsive” cat on the steps. “It could not seem to get up [when touched],” police wrote.

The boyfriend told police Blankenship had been smoking heroin and blowing smoke in the cat’s face.

Animal control took possession of the cat, named Muffin, and began treating it for poisoning, but it died.

A necropsy being performed Thursday or Friday will determine if Blankenship faces felony animal cruelty charges, police said.

Big difference here is, there was a witness who told police what the young lady did (blow smoke in cat’s face) and there was a body at the scene. In the Anthony trail, there was no witness who could report who harmed or killed the little girl and there was no body at the home. Learn the law people. BTW, the jury didn’t declare Kasey innocent, they declared the prosecution didn’t prove their case…which they didn’t. Hate if for Kaley though…

BTW joe, it”s the witness word againts the defendent and more than likely just because it was an animal she will get more than 4yrs for animal cruelty, ask Mike Vick! Yeah they didn”t even charge casey with cruelty to her own child, who you goes 31 days without seeing their child or can’t even tell the truth where see is? It not about the law it’s about the child that somebody killed! She didnt duct tape her own mouth, and she wasn’t playing hide and go seek for 31days either!

What does Casey Anthony have to do with a cat? For heavens sakes get over it. Casey Anthony has been acquitted and will be moving on with her life next Wednesday. Too all the people who don’t like the verdict……………………… GET a LIFE and look for another form of entertainment. Go exercise, read an inspirational book, or adopt a cat!

Dee, you must don’t have a life either if you on this blog commenting? It should be a big deal if a child dies for whatever reason! And maybe Casey Anthony can move next door to you and be your BFF. Do you have kids she can play with? How about you and everybody that thinks she has been aquitted and should move on with her life have her babysit your kids or your cat.
