What does UGA have in common with Harvard and Princeton?

Brooks Brothers clearly enjoys a challenge.
That’s not the the beginning of a joke, though I’m sure Tech fans will calculate a clever punchline.
According to Bloomberg business wire, Brooks Brothers, the alleged “oldest” and probably “stuffiest” men’s clothier chain in the U.S., has deemed UGA worthy of its first attempt at licensed college merchandise.
Fifteen schools made the cut, and a few of them don’t even have decent football teams. Brooks Brothers included a string of Southern schools because, according to the Bloomberg article, men here like to “wear ties” to football games.
We also like to stick bottles of Jack Daniels in our boots, so hopefully the distillery and Tony Lama will call soon.
The Bloomberg article says college sports fans spend more money than followers of any pro sport. It’s a good thing we’ve got the NCAA around to keep the sins of cash away from student-athletes.
Gawker, in a factually-challenged attempt at humor, says Brooks Brothers has “inadvertently revealed America’s whitest colleges.”
That can’t be true; but I’ll let you decide.
Here’s the complete list:
* Alabama
* Auburn
* Boston College
* Cornell
* Georgia
* Georgetown
* Harvard
* Notre Dame
* NYU
* Ohio State
* Princeton
* Stanford
* U.S. Naval Academy
* Vanderbilt
* Virginia

I think it is fair, I heard that Ga Tech was given two awards for dress – one by the Taliban and another by the Chinese Communist party, since most students are members of one or the other.

The athletic history of UGA is full of so many sordid, sleazy incidents – dating back to Vince Dooley and continuing through Mark Richt – that it’s impossible to overlook. The school has come to stand for drunkenness and lawlessness, coddling of illiterate athletes who should never have been admitted to college, and rampant cheating by coaches.
Oh, and preppiness, I forgot that.

I’m disappointed… Any SEC School who did not make this list should be hanging their head in shame

What do Georgia, Princeton and Harvard have in common….They all have and ‘r’ and have two syllables that should exhaust the set of solutions

George, UGA has more in common with Yale than either Harvard or Princeton … UGA was started by Yale grads and patterned after Yale.

@LukasAtl
The only thing UGA has in common with Yale is a Bulldog mascot.

I have gone to a lot of games in Sanford and noticed:
1) Why the boys wear shirt and tie in a football game.
2) Why the girls wear black pajama gowns.
3) Why #1 and #2 continue to do this when it’s 90+ degrees in the stadium and sweat profusely.
